3 New York Strips later......We're back with Pics! UPDATE!

I'm in and enjoying what you have posted already. Yummy food, can't wait til its our turn to go. Keep on with the great reviews!

great reviews - I'm with your Mum on the burgers. Was always brought up that pork and burgers must be well done and anything under makes me panic.

On to the next day. Kona for Breakfast. Kona is my favorite restaurant!!! I have never had any issues with their food or service. If you have never tried it I highly suggest it.

I ordered the Macadamia Pineapple Pancakes. They were so yummy just like they were last year. They have lots of pineapple and the macadamia butter is to die for. I don't use any syrup with them.

My son got the kids Mickey Pancakes with fruit.

My mom got the fruit plate. I came with a half of a pineapple!!! It also had some banana nut bread with it.

What a wonderful way to start our day!

We had Pinocchio Village Haus for lunch. Typical chicken nuggets and fries.

On to the Plaza for dinner!!!

Your pictures are gorgeous! I love the Kona breakfast, it made laugh as one time at a breakfast there I stepped away from the table to answer my cell phone and had DH ordered for me, the mac pineapple pancakes...he asked if I wanted fruit and I said sure and when I came back there was this humongous platter of fruit on the table...exactly what your mom had....for the two of us! It was sooo good and we took half of it back to the room put it in the fridge for a snack at the pool....hmmm...might have to do that again next month :rotfl:

That's what happens when you let Todd order fruit, you don't get a side, you get an entree. ;)

The Le Cellier pics are making me wish i went there! Yum! And never thought to go to Captain Jacks- glad it's good!

Thanks for all the wonderful comments. I can't wait to do more.
Here is a picture of us from our trip. The first picture posted was 2 years ago.

We loved The Plaza on our last trip and decided to go again for seconds. We had a reservation but still had to wait over 30 minutes for our table. It was super packed and they were turning away walk ups left and right.

Mom chose the turkey sandwich (leaving off the bacon). She really enjoyed it but how can you go wrong with a sandwich.

I got the Cheese Burger with mushrooms! YUM! It was super good and hit the spot.

DSC_0224.jpg

For dessert I got the No Sugar Sorbet. It was great for a hot day. Mom got her Banana Split. Her favorite minus the sprinkles. She hates sprinkles.

We just love the Plaza and will continue to dine there.

We had a quick service breakfast at the hotel the next morning. I like the bacon croissant.

The FINALLY I got to eat at Starring Rolls for lunch!!!!!!!!!:woohoo: Pictures coming soon :)

Great reviews so far! Your pictures are making me so hungry and I have 10 days to go until we start our trip!

PLaza pics look great- you cannot beat the price of the plaza- especially OOP! If I go OOP in the future- I'll definitely stop in there for a simple burger or sandwich (and ice-cream... of course).

It's interesting the mac and cheese at Chefs was only so so. I always think it looks so amazing in pics too!

Your reviews are great and I love these shirts! Did you make them?

I've always wondered about Captain Jacks but the only reviews I've seen have been bad. Maybe they're turning around? I hope so! Can never get enough seafood! Not sure where you are in GA but around here there's not much seafood selection!

That is why I ordered the Mac and Cheese. It always looked so yummy. It was not bad I just didn't like it. Everybody has their own opinion. :)

I got my shirts from a lady I found on these boards. Here is her etsy site. She is great and will make whatever color and style you wish.

I live in the McDonough area so we are close! :thumbsup2 Small world after all! I agree on the seafood comment. We don't have any good choices.

Ahhh finally Starring Rolls!!! I oh so wanted to eat here last year by I missed out. We headed over about 11:30ish for lunch. The sandwiches were being made so we had to wait about 10 or so minutes. Mom and I both got Turkey and my son got Ham. There is no kids menu so kids get a huge adult sandwich. We also got chips and a drink.

Turkey sandwich was loaded with meat and had mozzerella cheese and pesto spread on the bottom.

Black Forest Ham had some type of horseradish on it. I took that off for my son. He did not like it one bit.

And for the CUPCAKES.........

I got the Butterfinger Cupcake, Son got the Peanutbutter Chocolate, and mom got the Fruit Tart. The fruit tart was the best of all! It was sooooo good and fresh. The cupcakes were good to but the fruit was just Mmmmm!

I love this place. I wish they had indoor dining because after walking around in that heat I would have loved some air condition.

Dinner we will be heading to Mama Melrose! We have always had good food here and it didn't disappoint this time either! Woot!:cheer2:

Those sandwiches look really yummy!!! As a peanut butter-a-holic I look forward to that chocolate/pb cupcake more than anything else on my next trip, hehe. Thanks for the time you are putting into this review.

Alright now on to Mama Melrose. I see all kinds of bad reviews about this place and so far I haven't had one bad bite! Two years ago when we went the only thing my mom complained about was the bread wasn't hot and she would have liked to have butter instead of the dipping oil for the bread. Low and behold guess what we got this trip....Hot bread and butter!!!!

DSC_0358.jpg

We bothe had the mixed green salad with Balsamic vinaigrette and Gorgonzola cheese.

DSC_0356.jpg

I ordered the Penne Alla Vodka. It was super good! I ate almost every single bite.

DSC_0360.jpg

Mom got the Chicken Parmgiana.

DSC_0361.jpg

I was told by the waitress that we were a day early because the new menu was coming out the following day. The 2 dishes we got were staying on the new menu.

For dessert we got the Tiramisu and the Warm Chocolate Truffle Cake.

DSC_0365.jpg

This dessert was ok not the best but still good.

DSC_0362.jpg

My son got a cupcake that looks like noodles and a meatball. It was dry but the frosting was great.

DSC_0363.jpg

I love Mama Melrose and I think it is very underated! Give it a try!

We ate at the Donald's Safari Breakfast Buffet the next morning. It is our favorite Character Buffet. Sorry no pics.

Up next Pizzasafari for lunch.

I totally agree about Mama Melrose! DH and I ate there with the Fantasmic Package and we LOVED our food! I had the Penne Ala Vodka too and I can't remember what he ordered. The dessert that I loved so much isn't on the menu anymore :sad1: (it was a honey ricotta cheesecake or something like that) but I'd still like to go again.

Thanks for another great review!

After our Safari Breakfast we didn't want anything too filling because we were headed over to Kona for dinner. We uaually eat at Restaurantasaurus. Is that how you spell that??? There are not to many choices at Animal Kingdom. I know lots of people eat at Flame Tree but my mom is not a BBQ eater and she doesn't do chinese. I love love love Yak and Yeti! So pizza it is.
THey have your typical personal pan pizzas. They do come with a ceasar salad. I was happy with mine! Mmmm it hit the spot.

DSC_0554.jpg

We skipped on the dessert option. We grabbed a few of those hard to find frozen lemonades. Ok ok I admit we drank ALOT of them!! It was so darn hot this trip.

Kona is up for dinner! Did I mention I love Kona! PS I got a drink too!:banana:
