3 month old- any packing tips?

DH and I will be going to WDW in February and our DS will be 3 months old. Does anyone have any tips for packing, maybe something you forgot to pack and needed or something you just couldn't live without? We will be there for 3
nights and this is our first trip with a baby. Also what is the weather like in mid February? We have been to WDW many times, but never during this month. Any advice is appreciated.

bring enough bottles so that you will always have one ready to go, incase of emergency. we always had one that had milk in it and another that had water and was ready for the formula when needed. A front carrier pack was a lifesaver for us. DD ate, slept and spent 80% of her day in ours. It also makes it so much easier to get on/off transportation and in and out of the attractions. Bring layers of clothes. Start with a onsie and then add pants and sweater.

We travelled with my sister and her 3month old son back in Feb 05. The weather for us was wonderful, but i would suggest bringing layer type clothing (light sweaters, etc). the evenings tended to be cooler.

My nephew was on formula at the time, my sister was using enfamil powder. so we made sure to have extra with us, and it came in handy as we had a major spill of the powder in the luggage. we brought along extra wipes and diapers too. we just wanted to feel comfortable that we had enough on hand at all times.

the great thing is that you will be able to find anything you may forget or run out of at the resort shops or the baby stations in magic kingdom, which we loved. they were out of the way, so they were calming places to relax with the kiddies. feed and change them, not to mention purchase an item if needed like a diaper or binky.

If you haven't seen the packing tips threads before, try the ziplock tip. Take each outfit and put it in a ziplock. Throw an extra ziplock with clothing in the diaper bag in case you need a quick change. Make sure you also put extra ziplocks in every bag you take....you can use ziplocks for poop diapers, used bottles, sunscreen containers, etc...

We are going to DVC Vero Beach in March before a few days at WDW.

Any suggestions for the beach as well...a side from an umbrella???

We don't want DS to spend his days in the car seat sitting on the beach or at Pool side. He has a small chair but it might be a pain to pack.

Waltskids- please forgive me for asking such a personal question..are you Breastfeeding or Bottlefeeding?? If you are Breastfeeding, PM me and I will send you some advice I agree with the front carrier, I couldn't LIVE without mine!! In case your baby starts teething right in the middle of your trip (haha-- it never fails!!) bring some teething rings, and baby orajel! Lots of hats, and if your pediatrician okays you to use it, sunscreen! Also..I can not stress the power of having, like, a million onesies with you!! It seems like the explosive pooh (not the bear) always happens at the worst times!! Also, think about some kind of hearinf protection if you are staying for fireworks, etc. OH- and did I mention getting an in room sitter for one night so you and DH can have a night to yourself??

We went to Vero for a few days in the middle of our WDW trip in November when our son was 3 months old. It was unfortunately very gray and sporadically rainy our whole time there so we didn't log much beach time. Also, the beach was kinda ratty-the storms brought in tons of seaweed, the tide was so high that sand entirely filled the handicapped ramp, and the water was very cold and choppy. We did spend a decent amount of time at the pool though, and we just let our son nap in his stroller while one of us sat in a lounge chair next to him so the other could go in the pool/kiddie play area with our daughter.

One word of caution-we went to watch my husband go down the big slide and a man coming down ahead of him splashed a ton of water over the side, directly onto my son. We were not even standing that close to the slide so it was really unexpected and very, very unwelcomed by my son.

The resort has a ton of kiddie activities if you've got any other kids, btw. My daughter loved almost everything they planned.

These lists might be helpful. Also, don't forget to seek out the "Baby Change Station" in the parks. They have multiple change tables, microwaves for warming bottles, high chairs, private room for nursing, etc. It's great!

From your thread title, I thought you were wondering how to pack the baby. I was going to say, "In a suitcase, of course! They travel quite well!"

We traveled with a 5mo. My only two pieces of advice are:

(1) Be sure to bring enough diapers and formula because it is very expensive to buy in WDW.

(2) Bring whatever you need to make your child comfortable while sleeping. Favorite toys, perhaps your own crib/pack and play sheet.

I must also say that traveling with such a young baby was the easiest trip we've had so far.

We have gone with a baby before and will be going with my 8 month old son in 3 weeks. First of all I have to say I hate lugging more stuff around then neccessary and by the end of a disney week I hate it even more. Instead of bringing a diaper bag I just bring one VERY GOOD backpack for all of us. I make sure that it has places on the side that hold bottles and lots of pockets. I make diaper packs also. I bought quart size ziploc bags. They are like a sandwich size but longer. They hold a diaper perfectly. I put one diaper in it and then in a sandwich bag I put four wipes with a touch extra bottled water. This keeps them very moist. I put that in the quart size bag also. The baby station is nice but I am never near it when I need it. I don't want to always bring the stroller and bag in so I grab one of these out of the front of the backpack, changing pad, and leave the stroller and bags with hubby. I also use the drop in bottles for the parks so I can just rinse the nipple and toss the insert. If you are still sanitizing you can just bring extra nipples in a baggy and use the same base of the bottle. Make sure you have a rain cover for your stroller. We used ours at least 2 times each trip and as we walked around the parks in our ponchos and the baby nice and dry napping in the stroller we passed many mommies slugging there hubbies in the arms standing under awnings with the stroller saying why didn't you think of buying one of those as they waited out the downpours. I just thought of something else- A BATHTUB. When we stayed at ASM we only had a shower, no bathtub. I guess when baby is really little you have the sink option- but my DS will be 1 when we go, so I went to Target and bought a blow up tub for 14.99. I know POP had a bathtub, but I just feel safer with him using something smaller!
