I am just wondering if it is permissable to bring a 3 legged camp stool (the little fold up kind) into the park to sit on while watching the fireworks. I am not sure I would ever be able to get back up again if I sat on the pavement for a couple of hours waiting for them to start :earboy2: Alternatively I could book a reserved seating for Fantasmic and stay put to watch the fireworks but we arrive at the LAX airport on a Sunday at 6:00 PM, if all goes well and we make good time we might just make it to the park in time to catch the shows without even having reservations maybe at the Riverbell Terrace (miracles can happen right). If I make a reservation to see it from the balcony later in the week (couldn't make the res. for the sunday in case we get held up in traffic) and then we luck out and catch it on the sunday evening would we be able to get a refund for the balcony reservation later in the week?

DL doesn't let chairs of any kind in except wheelchairs. And there aren't any refunds on Fantasmic Balcony seating.

I was wondering about this too. iceskatejen - are you familiar with these stools? They are about 18 inches long and fold into a stick like structure. You just pop it open for a small seat when you need it. It was horrible having my mom go find a seat every time we watched a parade, fireworks, fantasmic. She was always waaaaay back and not enjoying the show with us because of back problems. Since this isn't really a chair, would they confiscate it at the gate? Or would someone ask you to put it away if you sat on it in the park because it serves a chair purpose?

I know what they look like, and no Disney won't confiscate them, but they probably won't let you past the bag check with one. Last weekend a friend of mine was coming in while pushing her wheelchair and has a folding cane in a small pouch--the bag check person was trying to not let that in because they thought it was one of those folding chairs.

The only things they allow are things that can sit flat on the ground--small blow up cushions are ok, as are cushions with back rests--another friend has one of those because she can't sit on the ground for long periods w/o back support.
