Hi - We are headed to Orlando in February and have always done Disney and SeaWorld with our 3 kids...ages 10,8 and almost 6. Thinking of doing Universal this time, but none of them like roller coasters. Do you think I'm wasting my money by bringing them to Universal? Will there be enough to keep them happy and entertained?

Just curious. Thanks for all your help.

There are many rides that aren't roller coasters. There really are only two major coasters at IOA. There are a few kiddie coasters as well. They might like those. There is one coaster at Universal but they are probably too young for it anyways.

Just back last week with two girls 9 & 11. The only coasters they were big enough for were the Flying Unicorn, which is actually pretty peppy for a kids one and the Woody Woodpecker one in the Fun zone, very similar to the Barnstormer at WDW. We also rode the Mummy, which I guess qualifies as a coaster. It is very intense. There are lots of other things to do there, water rides, shows, etc. February is a tricky month for the water rides, we have been there and the temps been moderate, then in Feb of '05 we were at WDW and actually had to return to our room at YC and add more clothing, it was mid 40's :confused3 . For a day or two you would probably find enough to occupy them, are you planning on just US/IOA or some WDW and SW too?

We are going in March. We are doing a 1 day 2 park pass. If I had more time I would do 1 day each. But my daughters are 2,5,and 7. I i've heard of alot of things to keep them interested. and my stepson is 10. He would never go on a rollercoaster! But IOA has superhero island with a spiderman breakfast, spiderman 3d show and a few other things, but at US i've read about quite a few rides/shows that he would enjoy. Did you go to the Universal studios website, it gives you a description of all of the rides and shows! And alot of charaters too! I can't wait to go!

Excellent repsonses. There is much much more to do at Universal and IOA, loads of stuff to play with, and there are two kids coasters....Pterradon Flyers in Camp Jurassic is really fun for little ones.

My 12 year old actually won't go on the roller coasters. She does love Spiderman, Men in Black, Jimmy Neutron and Shrek. There will be plenty for them to do without the major coasters. Don't forget the shows. My kids love the horror make up show and Fear Factor. There are "child rooms" which you can leave your kids with one parent and take turns on the Hulk or Mummy.
