Its that time of year again, the time to start the planning of our next Disney vacation!!! :goodvibes

Now, don't you all go & believe for one second that the planning is just starting now. But I'm sure no one actually thought that. You see, it, the planning actually started....um.....:bitelip: let me think here, oh I know, before we were even back from our last Disney vacation!!

You can read all about that one here - December 2007 Trip Report

Since that one is all done & over with, I'll start a new one to keep you all going. Well, really to keep me going. :yay:

The cast:

Of course, there is me, Roxanne

Then there is my hubby, Steve

And next would be our kiddos, Taylor & Matthew.

This would be Taylor

And this Matthew

Now, for a little bit of background on us. Steve & I went to Disney World on our Honeymoon  & vowed to go back every other year near/on our Anniversary. We were able to stick to that plan until 2006 when I was pregnant & due with Matthew right around the time of our annual trip. So, to make me stay sane, we decided we'd go in 2007 as a make up year & 2008 as our regularly planned trip.

And thats exactly what we done. Now after actually going on our 2007 trip, maybe that plan was not a good idea  , we had a nightmare of a trip, but thats over & done with. Onto our 2008......

The date:

Dec. 6 through Dec. 14 :santa:

The Place:

This was actually a hard decision. We've always stayed at value resorts untill last year when we tried POFQ. I loved the smallness of it but it just didn't feel Disney and for the extra money it cost, I figured I'd go back to values this time. Now, which value? :confused3

Pop, ASMu or ASMo?

We aren't really into Sports so didn't look into that one. Of the 3 that I mentioned, we've stayed at all of them before. I decided on ASMu because it was the first one we stayed at & we loved it & have never been back. But then, some of my Dis friends will be at Pop at the same time, thought about maybe going there. I know the kids would love ASMo. Taylor has been there already but not Matt. But I need to learn to go with my first choice, so ASMu it is. ::yes::

That is unless when the December codes come out, I can get a good deal on a moderate. After all, the Pop Warner kids will be there. In the past we never had problems with them, but what the heck. ;)

So you've got the who: Roxanne, Steve, Taylor & Matthew.
when: Dec. 6 thru Dec. 14
where: ASMu

Whats next???

Again, I'm gonna get this thing going....trying to pick up a few followers...

This is one of my favorite pictures from last year. I am not sure why, I think just because its different. We were in Fantasyland & when I looked up it was beautiful!!

Another reader!! Woohoo!! Thanks for stopping by & thanks for the comment on my family.

Looks like you'll be headed out real soon....so yep, by December you ought to be having some symptoms of withdrawls. Haha!! So, deffinitely not a prob to live through mine little report here.

Glad to have you here. :goodvibes

***December hours are posted on Disney's site!! - So, I can start double checking some of our plans. I know a bunch of people have been waiting for the park hours & such. They actually just released the November hours too. I wonder what was the hold up on it...:confused3 ***
Now, back to our regularly scheduled report here...last I gave you some of the main details...who, what, when, where...

What next?

Getting there....that seems like a good starting point.

Last year was the first time any of us flew.

And I can probably say we will never drive there again. We loved the experience!! :goodvibes

And this time we will know more about it, as in what to do when getting to the airports, so it should be a breeze. Here is a pic from the flight...

Last year we flew Delta. This year their prices are CrAzy!!! Crazy, Crazy, Crazy!1 Did I say Crazy??

So I am hoping when Southwest releases their December flight schedule, the prices will be better.

If not, we made have to just get a flight that isn't non-stop because the prices are much better.

So, as of now, I do not have the flights booked. :(

i know what you mean about the airfare! we, too, are waiting for SWA to release their schedule...hoping that the prices are decent. last year we almost booked a trip for december 2 weeks out because the prices were outstanding! hope it's that way this year!::yes::

Were they that cheap? I was too naive last year since it was our first time flying & by all means wanted to fly Delta because of assigned seating. But I don't think SWA will be bad for us to sit together.

yes they were that cheap! of course last year the airlines weren't as insame as they are now...I don't really remember the prices but I do remember that I was so excited I called my husband at work to tell him. In the end I was waaayyy to scared to go last minute without the "proper" planning!:rotfl:

Ramble away honey, glad to have you here & out your shell. Of course you should start a PTR - they really so fun. You get to put your ideas & thoughts down & out your head & get feedback on it by some wonderful Disney experts. Its great! I've learned so much through them.

Thanks for the comment & more will be coming up. :thumbsup2

Now....planned itinerary? :thumbsup2

Would you all like to hear all about that?

Well first things first....how about our food picks? Wouldn't you like to know about that first? Give me your thoughts on these places & tell me whats good there. Its almost ADR time....;)

For TS, I have planned:

Wolf Gang Cafe (dinner)
Chef Mickey's (breakfast)
Coral Reef (dinner)
Liberty Tree (dinner)
Chefs de France (dinner)
Boma (breakfast)
Cape May (dinner)
Whispering Canyon (dinner)

And for CS, I think we'll do:

Sunshine Seasons (lunch)- the boys & I ate here last time, Steve missed it due to his hospital stay
Pizza Planet (dinner)
Cookes of Dublin (dinner)
Captain Cooks (breakfast)
Cantina San Angel (lunch)
Toluca Turkey Legs (lunch)
Cosmic Rays (lunch)
Pepper Market (lunch)

We used to not really care about making dining arrangements. We'd go & usually eat breakfast at the hotel, get a snack for lunch, then eat dinner at the hotel.

Doesn't seem to interesting, does it? :(

I mean a few times I'd schedule a character meal but not anything like now.

For our trip in 2004, Steve (he always seems to have problems, doesn't he?:confused3 ) had an inner ear injury which caused him to not be able to ride anything that flipped, went up, went down, turned, basically anything that moved, lol. :lmao:

So his thing that trip was to try different foods. Well, of course, I couldn't let him do that alone. :woohoo: So we snacked alot during this trip.

Then on trip last year, we decided to do the dining plan, where ADRS had a whole different meaning to us. It was alot of food but it was great to know we had some down time planned.

I think this year will be the same, just a little less food. Which, I have no problem with at all.:worship:

I'll come along, too! We're going in three weeks and again November. No December trip this year, though, so I'll ride along with you guys for my December Disney Christmas fix.

We were actually at All Star Music last Christmas, and we had a wonderful stay. So much in fact, that we'll be back there on our November trip.

Sounds like you'll be doing a lot of good eating. Happy planning!

Hi Roxanne! :wave2: Sorry I'm a little late to this thing, but I see I beat all the others from the "DIS Girls" trip! :lmao: That must be a first! I never beat Michelle! ;)

Your trip sounds like so much fun! I'm so happy for you guys to be able to go back and make some new, healthier memories! He will be going to the doctor ahead of time right? To make sure he's not full of stones? :thumbsup2

Anyways, carry on. I can't wait to read more about your plans.

And, can I just say, that those boys are precious! Seriously - Precious as all can be! :lovestruc

Sara

oooh your food choices sound yummy! I'm debating myself as to whether or not to make ADR's for anything besides character meals. My DD's don't last very long in restaurants much less when they want to be out and about in WDW! :lmao: Your husband sounds like me...:rotfl2: SOmething ALWAYS manages to happen to me! have a good day and looking forward to the next installment!::yes::

Wow, 2 trips - I bet you're burnt out on planning, huh?

Good, glad you gave positive feedback on Music, its been a while since we've been.

I'm trying to try different places to eat than before. We like change (well, for somethings, like dining but not our vacation choice - people always say... you're going AGGGAAAiNNNN?)

Sara!! So glad you came - make yourself comfortable, we've got a long way to go. :hyper:

Steve is deffinitely getting checked out before this trip, from head to toe & then some :rolleyes1

Thanks for the compliments on my boys. They are growing so fast right before my eyes.

Amazingly, the food breaks worked out pretty good for us. It gave us all some resting time, which we all needed. A good change of pace I guess.

If you are anything like my husband, I wish you the best starting now so that your trip doesn't get ruined. But hey, do you get the trip insurance? We learned from experience it is so worth it. It cost us only a little extra last year (which happened to be the 1st time I get it) & it paid for everything!! They even offered us to come back home mid trip & get all our money minus the trip insurance money back!! I thought that was awesome!!:woohoo: Of course, my stubborn husband (well....he was at the time) thought it would pass & we should stay there. Was he ever wrong!!!:(

Ok....moving along.....tomorrow is my ADR day :cool1:

But guess what? I'm still not too sure on a few things :worried:

I know I haven't posted this here yet, but I was planning on eating the night of our arrival, which will be our Anniversary at Wolfgang Puck Cafe but I think I will be changing that to Coral Reef. Coral Reef was on my agenda too for another night.

But....I think I may just wipe Wolfgang out all together or Whispering Canyon, I'm thinking I may want to try the Grand Floridian Cafe. Maybe do the photo shoot & eat there afterwards. Any one have any thing good or bad to say about GFC?
