Hello,

I was wondering what my changes are to get the room I want if I book the following. The BWV pool/garden studio view has the most availability.

Mon- BWV pool/garden view studio
Tues, BWV pool/garden view studio
Wed BWV 1 bedroom standard view (waitlist pool/garden studio)
Thurs, BWV pool/garden view
Friday, BWV boardwalk view (waitlist pool/garden studio)
Saturday, BWV pool/garden view.

These are the only rooms available at the BWV within my point range. Would I be better off if I book at a different resort such as OKW or AKV for the entire stay and then waitlist the BWV pool/garden studio for the entire stay? I originally had my favorite resort BC booked and my boss made me change my vacation dates!! :scared: It is really disappointing, because we LOVE EPCOT and love the pool at the BC. My husband can only do the parks in small doses. He will literally float in the lazy river for hours then nap then float some more. I know my chances of getting a studio at the BC are slim now due to my trip only being 3 months out. BWV's are the next best thing for the location. The MK resorts are booked up as well-otherwise I'd choose any of the resorts in that location.

I need to act fast, so any guidance would be appreciated. :hourglass Thank you!:goodvibes

My waitlist for the boardwalk view just came through last week, :cool1: you may get the dates you need. Of course, I am not booked until September.

I am going to be a nay-sayer in this situation - it would require more then 2 people to change their plans, cancel their reservation etc etc for your waitlist to come through.

The last thing you want to do is move 3+ times during your stay, if your DH isn't a park person...that would leave him to pack up and move every day or so to move to a different room.

The convenience factor of being close to EPCOT is far outweighed by the constant moving from room...to room....to room - if you have the dining plan, you would have to make sure your credit were used on each individual stay.

I would step back and see what else is available for length of stay, and see what is also convenient or your DH - with do counter service establishment at BWV that would be a pain in the rear.

There is no counter service restaurant at AKV-Kidani either (except the pool bar)
What I would do is check out either Saratoga or Old Key West -

If you are driving, those resorts are very convenient!

Plus they both have stuff to do around the resort - SSR has three feature pool areas and a few quiet pools.

I would be afraid the wait list wouldn't come through at BWV - and the room changes would be a real pain in the rear in my opinion!

You are absolutely right! I was thinking the same thing, but thought I'd toss it out and see if anyone has done this and what their experience was? DH would not like changing rooms 3 times during our stay! I best not chance it! I can always stay in the EPCOT area next year!:)

How did you know your wait list came through? Did you receive an email?

There is a counter service restaurant at Jambo House and the walk from Kidani to Jambo is only about 10 minutes. There is also a shuttle bus that runs between the two buildings or you can take any park bus from Kidani to Jambo and the DTD bus back from Jambo to Kidani. The OP can use both of the pools at AKV as well.

I would either stay elsewhere and waitlist for the whole time or keep the first 2 nights at BWV and move someplace else and waitlist at BWV for the other nights. There is no way I would change DVC resorts 4 times in one trip. Unlike regular WDW resorts, rooms at DVC resorts are often not available until the 4:00 pm check-in and you run the possibility of being "homeless" between 11-4 for most of your trip.

No, I didn't receive an e-mail. Although that would have been nice. I logged in everyday and checked. It did take a few weeks.

I would book the entire stay in the same room at whatever resort had availability.

Then I would waitlist the entire stay at both BCV and BWV - you can have up to two waitlists active at any one time.

Once the waitlists are in place, it will be up to Tinkerbell to decide where I will stay. You never know when she might decide to sprinkle a bit of pixie dust upon you.

I used the above strategy when I wanted to stay in a standard view villa at BLT the week after Thanksgiving (but only used one waitlist). Never thought I had even a tiny chance of the waitlist working, but Tinkerbell smiled on us. Hope she does the same for you!
