Where we left off...So Joann (aka: Joan) was having problems. We had an older man checking us in and he noticed the problem so he had to page someone over to check it out. They looked kind of worried and had to page someone else. Meanwhile I am freaking the crap out. Seriously. So I tell the guy (somewhat hysterically) "OH MY GOSH, YOU HAVE TO LET HER ON THE BOAT, I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS IS HAPPENING, HYSTERICS, HYSTERICS, ETC. HYSTERICS. The kind old gentleman (who was probably accustomed to dealing with hysterical females) quickly let me know that yes she would definetly be allowed to go they were just checking to find out if they needed to check her in as Joan or Joann I wanted to hug that old man...

At this moment of time I turned to Joann and said "IF YOU EVER WANT TO COME ON ANOTHER CRUISE WITH US YOU WILL GET A PASSPORT BECAUSE I DON'T WANT TO BE THE LADY ON THE 5 OCLOCK NEWS THAT DIES RIGHT THERE IN THE TERMINAL FROM STRESS." By the way, glad you get to come...

My son, Levi, passed away at 16 months. From my point of view, I say you hold him when he sleeps anytime you want! I would give anything to e in your shoes and hold my baby again.

Yes, the terminal, the ship and Castaway Cay were all decorated! We have a couple of beautiful pics in front of one of the HUGE Christmas trees!

So finally we get the Joann problem resolved and we get our boarding pass (which I think was #9) and considering that all of you fight to get the coveted #2, #9 seemed like an eternity away..."ugh, #9, I didn't even know they made boarding passes that high, I thought they stopped at #3...

No seriously the wait was very short. We visited the snack bar and got some cheetos and got to use our excited key cards for the first time! I was very glad that Cooper was too young to want to participate in any of the kid's clubs because the line for those were INCREDIBLY LONG! I was shocked. Maybe it was because this was the cruise before Thanksgiving so there were more kids than usual? I don't know.

Finally they called our boarding number and we were on our way!

Wow! I didn't know they went that high either! What time did you board, do you remember? They have a snack bar in the terminal where you can use you KTTW card?

We walked through and having our name called was exciting although I really think it's probably more exciting for someone who has no idea it's going to happen. That's one of the flaws of being a compulsive planner BUT I did have months of anticipation of the excitment of what was to come so I guess it all evens out in the end...

While walking through the main coridor I made the mistake of looking back and catching a glimpse of the "see ya real soon" signs... NEVER LOOK BACK.

We were welcomed in and they directed us to the buffet. There was a loooooong line all the way out the door. I was afraid this may be an indication of how the whole cruise would go but the only times I really noticed the crowd WAS at the buffet so no complaints!

We got our trays and after getting everyone else settled my mom and me took off to try and get our dinning arrangements changed because they had us sitting at two different tables. It must have been right at 1:00 because we had to wait just a few minutes for (INSERT THE NAME OF THE PLACE WHERE YOU CHANGE DINNING RESSIES HERE) to open. I was wishing I had brought my camera with me so I could have taken pics of the super fun route 66 hallway. TIP: KEEP YOUR CAMERA WITH YOU AT ALL TIMES!

sorry for not being thorough, our cruise dates were the Sunday, monday and tuesday before Thanksgiving, i think the 22nd, 23rd and 24th...(i'll have to look at a calendar to be sure...but it was the week of Thanksgiving...
