If you only had 3 days, no park hoppers, which would you skip? My boys will be 5 & 7. We have been to all parks in the past. Go! :)

Honestly I would probably skip Animal Kingdom. We love AK but with your kids ages there isn't much for them to do. We have a four day trip in December and we will likely skip it then too. I would also only do a half day at Hollywood studios....TSMM and Star tours (maybe TOT) are it for them there.

Have fun!

When mine were the ages of your two, we would have skipped HS and enjoyed AK. It depends on what their interests are. We enjoyed all the animal trails, Pangani Forest Trail, Maharaja Jungle Trek, the shows, Rafiki's Planet Watch and the kid activities - yeah, we're nerds and geeks and we like it! ::yes::
I also preferred less lines with children that age over the "best" rides. Most agree to skip AK and that may work best for you - just wanted to show the other side.

For me, personally, I would skip DHS. But since you have young children, AK would probably be the wisest choice to skip (unless you have animal lovers).
DHS has more for kids such as: Phineas and Ferb, Muppets 3D, TSMM, and my personal DHS favorite, Fantasmic.

As PP says, it's a matter of personal taste/likes. When my two sons were small, AK would have been best for us because both boys were/are animal lovers.

Maybe(?) you could tell the pros and cons for each park to your boys with maybe some photos or videos to go along and ask them what their choice is and take it from there.

OP here, MK is a must of course. My boys also LOVE Star Tours so HS is a must. So, I can't decide between Epcot & AK. Or doing 2 days at MK. Decisions, decisions...

I would do 2 days at mk and 1 at Ep or viceversa and skip both hs and ak

This is what I would do as well. But if I had to choose between AK and DHS I would skip DHS. I LOVE the look/smell/feel of AK and would pick to go there any day over DHS.

My kids are 7 and 9.

My favorite park is Animal Kingdom and my husband's is Hollywood Studios. My daughter's least favorite park is Epcot so we might skip it.

I would ask each boy which one park they wanted to visit during the trip. That is Park 1 and 2 or Park 1. If they picked the same Park, I would ask them what their Favorite second park would be to visit. That would be Park 2 and 3. If I had a Park leftover, (they picked two different choices the first time), I would make plans for those two parks, and leave the third park up in the air until the end of Day Two. I'd then plan to spend Day 3 in whatever park everyone wanted to visit/see again.

Yea skip animal kingdom. I like but if I had to choose that would be the one I would pass on. More rides and fun things at other parks for your kids.

My children were 6 & 8 (1 son & 1 daughter) on our last visit & we could have easily skipped Epcot. They loved Turtle Talk with Crush & the aquarium, but that was the main highlight. On the other hand, they Loved Playhouse Disney, Little Mermaid & Beauty & the Beast, Star Tours, Muppets, Honey I Shrunk the Kids playgound & fantasmic at HS. AK was a hit with the safari, both nature/animal trails, dino bones playground & Lion King. It all depends on your children & their interests. You will have a magical time no matter what parks you attend!

I could never skip HS or MK, so it would be a toss up from epcot and AK. My son loves test track, but my daughter is obsessed with Pocahontas (she only meets in AK) so it would be a hard choice! I like the attractions at AK (Dinosaurs, EE, Lion King, primeval whirl) but AK also always feels crowded, hot, and generally un-enjoyable. Tough call.

Animal Kingdom

We are going for 9 days. My kids are 5 and 8 and have been before. I am debating whether to do a half day at AK or skip it and play in the resort pool.

Epcot. Because of the tiered Fastpasses, you probably wouldn't be able to get a lot of rides done in the day. At Animal Kingdom, the last couple hours the park is open you can usually walk on just about everything.

I would skip AK. If you go to Epcot, make sure to try the P & F spy missions.

Having said that, I would be tempted to do 2 days at MK. Either way, you're in WDW! Enjoy your trip!!

Personally I would skip EPCOT, I just feel like there is more at AK. The shows are great and I love the animal trails. If your boys love Star Tours than Kali and Dinosaur might be fun for them too. Either way you'll have a great time! GL, decisions like this are tough ;)
