My Family (DW,DD10,DD11,DS3) have three day base tickets. Obviously, we won't be visiting one of the parks. But, which one should we skip? At first, we thought Epcot, but lately we've heard a lot of good things about it that even the 3 year old would enjoy. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

In my opinion I would definitely go to Magic Kingdom and EPCOT - my kids are 12 and 5 and there is something at each of those parks that entertains them. The third day is kind of a toss-up - we prefer AK over MGM. My 5 yo loves the Boneyard and Safari at AK, and my 12 yo enjoyes Kali River Rapids and EE. Of course, MGM has Rockn Roller Coaster and Tower of Terror, but they are a bit extreme for my family. Of all the 4 parks, MGM is probably our least favorite.

Enjoy your trip - you'll have fun no matter where you go - that's the magic of Disney! pixiedust:

That's tough one. We have asked ourselves that same question in the past with no solutions. We have four children (between 5 and 15) and asked each one to pick their "must see" theme park. Of course, each one had a different choice, but whose choice do you ingore? DD15 loves MGM for the thrill rides, DS12 loves EPCOT because he has a fascination with learning, DS8 loves Animal Kingdom because he loves animals, DD5, of course, loves MK.

We've decided we have to get annual passports this year to keep from leaving anyone out.

You are fortunate in that you have 3 kids and 3 days. Ny advice is to let them each pick one, and only one. You can't go wrong, there is something in each park for everyone. :thumbsup2

what time of year are you going? during slower times, epcot is often the only park open in the evenings. they also have illuminations every night, whereas MK doesn't have wishes nightly (not sure about mgm's fantasmic).

Wow! Really hard question!

It'd be tough for me to skip any of the parks, there are things I love at all of them, but in your situation, I think I'd probably say Animal Kingdom.

Since you have two older daughters, I think they'd really enjoy MK, MGM and Epcot the most. The little guy would probably really enjoy Animal Kingdom, but since he's only three.....

If your girls enjoy rides, I definitely wouldn't skip MGM. My niece is 11 and she LOVES Rock n' Roll rollercoaster and Tower of Terror. She also wouldn't miss the Beauty & the Beast show or Little Mermaid.

Epcot DOES have alot more now and I wouldn't skip it due to Soarin' - Turtle Talk and Test Track.

MK of course is a "No-Brainer Must Do"

So even though I love AK, I'd have to say this would be the one to skip.

We had to choose last year. We left out AK. We knew that we would be back the following year, so we didn't worry about it.

Thanks so much for the help, everyone. To answer one person's question, I believe we're going in the "off-season" (Dec. 10-12). We have been to the MK before and that one is definitely "must see" again.

Keep the suggestions coming............they're very helpful and much appreciated.

I'd skip MGM. We love Animal Kingdom, Expedition Everest is there now, and lots to do for all of your kids ages. We don't care for MGM as much...our kids don't really like sitting thru too many shows.

Hard question, I totally agree with a previous poster.
I love them all but I would say first and foremost I would not miss the Magic Kingdom, it's the heart of Disney.
Epcot is so spread out, it would be impossible to see in a day anyway so I'd say to to MK, MGM and AK.
I love them all and can't imagine having to miss any of them.

Could you add the park hopper option and visit all 4? Just spend slightly less time at each?

We're going for only 3 days in Jan, and I'm sure we won't skip any of them! We probably won't stay in MGM long, but we like to see Beauty and the Beast, so we'll try to get there for that at least, and no way could we skip AK with EE and the Safari.

My family can't do without hoppers though...kids get stir crazy if you try to keep them in one park all day.

On my birthday trip in March we actually did all 4 parks in ONE day, which was a little crazy, but it was still fun, and honestly we weren't all that rushed!

I would skip MGM. Although we enjoy MGM, it is by far our least favorite and we spend less time there than the others. Just not that much that interest us.

Do MK, AK and MGM, in that order. Epcot is the teens and up park (my favorite).

Interesting. Most of the advice I have gotten is save MK for last, so there will be no "letdown."

We always save MK for last. I honestly don't understand why anyone would do this first! :confused3

Definitly skip MGM. It's not geared towards small children anyways. Epcot is great educational fun for the big and small, obviously you cant skip MK, and Animal Kingdom is something the little ones would really enjoy, with all the animals and dinosaurs and such. Honestly, the only reason I ever go to MGM is for RnRC and ToT, but the little one cant go on those. I could do without MGM entirely if it wasnt for those 2 rides.
