I've noticed that there aren't many threads (including in the Cruise Meets section) about the 3 day Wonders. Do most people from the DIS boards only do 4 and 7 (and up) nighters?

My DW and I have done the 3 day twice but this year we are moving up in the world and trying a 4 day.

We did a 3 nighter last year to get a feel for the Cruise line. This year, last month, we did a 4 nighter. We are planning to do another 3 nighter in 2005, and have a week planned in 2006. Our trips depend on when we take them and if we take the granddaughter with us.

Personally speaking, the 4-night goes by much too quickly so can imagine the 3-night just whizzes by! You are just getting used to where everything is on the 3-night and you're heading back home.

weve done a 4 last year and a 3 day with 4 days at park this year sure does fly by fast but we do enjoy the parks .. and like to relaxe after on the 3 day even though the first day of the 3 day sure is short with travel time to get to port and waiting to board.but we dont like nassua so staying on the ship that day makes that day aboard longer.. if all I can do is 3 day then it is worth my time!!

We are going on the 3night on 13 oktober 2005. Never been with disney so we'll start with a small one and if we like it we go up to a longer cruise.

Yes, maybe the 3 night is not as popular because it goes by so fast but it's all we can fit in when we want to go to WDW for a few days and also have our kids not miss too much school. So for us a 3 day cruise is just right.

Although I have done the 4 day in the past and would love to do the 7 day someday!!!

Thanks. :earsboy:

We're going to do a 3 ay instead of a 4 because it's a long weekend, rather than an entire week off from work. I sure do wish they'd have the 4 day cruise fall over a weekend though -- I am afraid that the 3 day will just leave us longing for more! And since our next Magic cruise isn't until 2006, I feel that we need our fix.

Any other FL residents who plan to do (or have done) a 3 day as a long weekend-type trip?

We have done the three day..it was excellent..just very, very short. Not any time to enjoy the ship at all after checking out the ports.

We use them for weekend get aways....

Leave early on a Thursday morning... get to the boat by 1 or so... and soak up the sun and Disney hospitality...

We're doing the 3-day in November (land/sea). My reasoning behind this was that my BF and DS have never cruised. Both loved Disney last time we were there and would have done a week on land. I really wanted to a cruise -- any cruise. This was our compromise, and hopefully, it will get them hooked on the cruise experience! I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

We have done the 3, 4 and 7 night cruises. Of course the 7 is nice because you are on the ship longer, BUT for various reasons we tend to like the 4 night. The three main reasons are:

1. Don't have to pack Formal clothes since there are no formal nights on the 4 night cruise.

2. (And I hope this is still true): The 4 night has a day at sea AFTER the day at Castaway Cay. It makes it MUCH more relaxing to be able to go on the island and not have to worry about going back onboard and packing.

3. DH only gets 1 week of vacation at a time. For the 4 night cruise we can drive down if the airfares are too high. For the 7 night (which starts on Saturday) we don't have enough time to drive down without DH taking off more time from work. On the 3 night it ends on Sunday, so again we don't have enough time to drive home without DH taking off additional time. With the 4 night, we can get in 2 days at WDW at the end before we have to head home (we have a 17 hour drive).
