I'm an early riser and got up at 5:30am to take a swim. Still pretty dark that early, but the temps were fine. Got dressed and went to get breakfast, and we were all on our way by just before 7:00.
We went over to the Boradwalk and walked the hotel loop, checking out the decorations at the Boardwalk, Beach Club, and Yacht Club. From there we hit Extra Magic hour at MGM. We did Tower of Terror, Rock-n-Roller Coaster, and then Star Tours. We then walked over to EPCOT and hit Soarin for the first time (it was pretty neat, but IMHO not spectacular like other E-ride attractions), Mission Space and then Test Track. The verdict was then to head back to MGM and see the Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular and Sounds Dangerous (both firsts - Indy was great, Sounds Dangerous not so much).
The next part of the plan was AK, and do the 2 things we've never done - the Maharageh Trek and the Conservation Station. The Trek was really neat - loved the tigers - the Conservation Station was disappointing. We loved seeing Expedition Everest - incredibly awesome - can't wait for that! We then did Dinosaur and decided to get to the MK!
We had tickets for MVMCP (our first time) so we were very excited! We got there just about 4:00, and went to Fantasyland to see the new Pooh playground. It was a little chilly, but we went right to Splash Mountain. No one was there! We rode it 3 times, the hit BTMRR, did Pirates and the the Country Bears (first time for the Christmas show - pretty neat!) and then went to Tomorrowland and hit Space Mountain - just as it was turning 6:00 and the park was closing for the party.
The only downside of this was when we got off the ride, all the food establishments were closed until 7:00 - so we just hung around for about an hour. We saw Micky's should in the Galaxy Theatre at 6:45, saw a bit of the Castle show, got something to eat, hit Pooh, Snow White, and then Phiharmagic. Saw the parade in Libery Square - very nice - and then hit the Haunted Mansion. Did Splash Mountain and BTMRR again, got some hot chocolate, walked around Toon Town (Minnie's house is closed), did Buzz and the TTA and walked out as the 10:00 parade was going on (we left as it finished up by the train station).
Busy day! Didn't take long to get to sleep that night! Back to the MK tomorrow!
