We have been to Disney many times but haven't been in 2 years. We have never loved DHS (not big into Star Wars) or AK. I know Avatar is new but with the wait times and my 5 year old - we won't be waiting for that.

I have an 8 yr old and a 5 yr old (who will finally be able to ride the "big rides" with her brother and can't wait for the Mountains, Soarin, Test Track, etc). Would you stick to MK and EPCOT and double up one of those on the 3rd day? One our non-park days we want to resort-hop and hit Disney Springs.

Is Fantasmic worth it? I remember liking it but the waiting forever before the show and herding like cattle to leave never seemed worth the aggravation for us.

I think with only three days and you not sounding enthusiastic about either DHS or AK, that you should stick to EP and MK. (DHS is more than Star Wars, though.)

In your shoes, I would probably do two Magic Kingdom days. There are a lot of "big rides" in MK, and it can be hard to do them all in one day, while also enjoying the other things MK has to offer.

I would definitely do two MK days and an Epcot day and skip DHS. We stayed at Beach Club last week and went to DHS one day, and it has just really lost a lot of appeal for us. I now wish we had done two days at AK instead because Flight of Passage is that awesome. DHS desperately needs Toy Story land!

In your situation, I would add a 4th day to spend a bit of time at DHS. Do you have hoppers? When at the Beach Club, I love hoppers. If you have them, I would do 1.5 days each at MK and Epcot. We do love Epcot more than MK, especially walking from Beach Club at night. I would want to go to go to DHS for a few hours, paired with your resort hopping day (though my own kids would not be a fan of more than 1 resort outside of where we are staying at a time.) If you are definitely sticking with 3 days, no hoppers, I would do 1 day MK (I dislike buses), and 1 each Epcot and DHS. DHS is my least favorite park, but you are right there, and there are still many great things! You could spend the middle chunk of the day at the pool on that day, too.

I think I might play it by ear for the 3rd day, I know it's a sin not to book your FPs a lifetime in advance but it's totally doable to book them a day in advance. If you do MK and feel like you need to go back the third day, go ahead and book your FPs for that third day that night. You might decide you don't need to want to go back and might want to try AK. It's not all about Pandora, it's a beautiful park. I'd say if you had hoppers to split a day between AK and HS since it's not all about Star Wars either.
