3 day park hopper or 2 day with Mickey's Merry Xmas Party?

I'm doing a 3 night girls trip with a college friend. We are flying in from separate cities on Dec. 6 and we arrive around noon/1pm at the airport. Since we are staying 3 nights, Dec. 6, 7, 8 and leaving the 9th, we had planned to get 3 day park hopper tickets.

I just checked the dates of Mickey's Merry Xmas party and they are the 6 and the 7th and the 9th.
Does it make more sense to get 2 day park hopper tickets and get the $95 ticket to the Mickey's Merry Xmas Party and we can use that on the day we arrive since we likely won't even be ready for the park until 4pm. It says we can enter the park at 4 and stay until the end of the party which is around midnight. Otherwise we would have to leave MK at 6pm due to the party.

WWDY?

I think 2 day hoppers would be better. What time will you be leaving on the 9th? We never do parks on arrival and departure days but that’s because we don’t always get good flight times and we are usually too tired. A party might not be so bad though since it starts later like you said.

Here's our schedule and what we would do if we got the Merry Xmas tickets:
Dec 6- arrive in airport at about noon after a short 3 hour flight. Check into Polynesian Hotel. Go to Mickey's Merry Xmas party around 4-midnight
Dec 7- 1st day of 2 day park hopper (it's another day of the Merry Xmas party so we have to leave MK by 6PM)
Dec 8- 2nd day of 2 day park hopper
Dec 9- No parks, prob will hang out at the Polynesian or Disney Springs, fly out around 7pm

We are both in our 30's, I'm not traveling with my kids so don't think we need any rest or downtime first day.. We also probably won't be waking up super early either so I didn't think we would need a park ticket for our last day.

I don’t think you’ll want one for your last day either. It would be more relaxing to go to Disney springs before your flight. I think as long as you leave extra time on the 6th in case of flight delays before the party you should be okay.

Thanks guys! I am leaning toward doing that. I've heard line times are less during the holiday party too, so I'm hoping that turns out to be true!
