Based on your experiences, which is the better situation?

We LOVE WDW, so going to Disney for 3 days prior to the cruise seems like it would be awesome, but is it hectic?

Also, 7 days at sea sounds like "just what the doctor ordered" for rest and relaxation. Is it too much time on the ship?

I'd love to hear some comments, good or bad, about either scenario!

We did the land and sea option first. It was an incrediable experience as some people had either not been to WDW or had not been in many years. On the last day of the cruise we asked all the kids and grand kids what they wanted to do next year. They said either 7 days at WDW or 7 days on the Magic. They prefered the MAgic. Which is what we did last month. It was wonderful and relaxing.

Doing the land and sea, is what I term a whitman sampler. You get to experience a little bit of everything. It is hectic, or at least as hectic as you want to make it.

I now prefer to do WDW by itsself. We went in March and I felt more relaxed and not rushed.

So my opinion is do one or the other, not both. My first choice, CRUISE :boat:

Hope this helps

We don't do the Land & Sea because 3 or 4 days at Disney is just not long enough for us. We always spend 9 days at Disney and we don't limit ourselves to WDW. We also LOVE the Universal parks and we also do Sea World and Discovery Cove so we are very busy during those 9 days. We usually alternate WDW with an island beach resort or a cruise. This coming February, we are doing 9 days at Disney with the 4 night Wonder. We've been on 2 other 7 night cruises and those were back to back. 14 days of cruising is too long even though it was fabulous, I was glad to be back on land again. The reason we are doing only a 4 night cruise this time is because we can't take longer then 2 weeks on vacation do to work and school and that's pushing it with DD as she is a junior in HS. I think 7 nights is wonderful and relaxing. Our next one will be 7 nights. I'm glad the cruise is at the end of the trip this time though as I'm sure I will need those 5 days to "unwind" from the "World". I always feel like I've gone through dorothy's house to see the wizard. In closing, we've done just Disney and just the Disney cruise. We loved both equally. I don't think you'll be disippointed either way but I recommend the 7 night if you haven't cruised yet just for a different experience.

We did the 3 day land/4 day sea this past July. We did add an extra day on land since we were coming from Colorado and the first day would be pretty much shot. The land portion was really hectic, but still fun. We have a 7 day booked for next year so maybe we can have more relaxation time.
