3 Day Breast Cancer Walk

Has anyone on these boards done one of these...or is planning on doing one this year? I would like to do one in the Fall, and would love to have some "company" here on the preparation journey.

I did one several years ago. Truly an AMAZING expereince.

Least favorite part... fund raising.

Best... the whole experience on the walk.

I get teary thinking about it. It's a TON of work to get ready to walk that much. I was spending a lot of hours on Sat/Sun hiking around Middle Tennessee.

The logistics were amazing. The "great wall of Port-o-potties" Incredibly staffed rest stops, good food and somehow "hot showers" for literally thousands of women.

Do they still sleep in tents? I didn't have any issue with that (I am a Girl Scout) but it does freak some folks out!

I won't be doing one this year but maybe someday I will do it again!

Yes, looks like they still sleep in tents. I was wondering about the water temps, so thanks for letting me know that a hot shower after a long day of walking will not be a problem.

Which city did you do? There is not one in my city, so I will be traveling. I have not yet picked a city. How was the scenary where you walked? What about the terrain?
