3 bedroom villa's ???

We are NEW DVC owners at SSR taking our first trip "home" this Nov but early Oct of 08 we want to take DH's sister and her family with us. We are really hoping we can get into a 3 bdrm villa @ OKW but we will have to wait for the 7 month window to book. It states those are very limited, anyone know how hard this will able for us to get? Or do we have a good chance?

I am supposing your home resort is SSR. I would book one at SSR first at the 11 month window as they are limited everywhere. You could also go with multiple units but I would again suggest them at SSR first. October is a popular time for the FWF but you never know

Don't forget: at SSR you can get TWO, 2 BR villas for less points than the Grand Villa in case that matters to you. That gets you two kitchens, two laundry rooms, more beds, etc...

And more separation from family members... if needed.

We did a family re-union through my parent's time share. They rented each small family a 1br (and 2br for a family with 4 children). It was nice to have our separate spaces. No melt-downs. A very enjoyable time was had by all.

Everyone wants to go in Oct, and OKW owners are no different. GVs could go in the 7-11 month time frame and there could be nothing left for you. I'd go with something at SSR and then see at 7 months if any OKW GV is still available.

I don't know about Oct, but I got a OKW grand villa in March 2006 at seven months. I didn't even call night by night (couldn't - I was on vacation in Mexico - although I was on the cell phone as soon as the plane landed as MS was closing soon). We had Sun - Fri checkout. I may have just been lucky.

I would have a backup plan, either to book the GV at SSR at 11 months or to book multiple units.

PS We had 9 people and were quite comfortable. There was my family (me, DH and two teenagers), DH's sister, niece (daughter of SIL) and her family (DH and two school age girls).

Have a friend who got a GV at OKW for first week of April 2006 at 6 months out so there is always a chance - October may be more popular though.
