I know there are some super threads on here about the GCH, but I haven't been able to find a lot of pictures of their suites. :confused3 We have a family group planning to stay in the 3 bedroom Suite at the GCH, Concierge level. Can anyone give me any ideas or pictures of that suite? I believe it's basically a 1 bdrm with rooms added on either side? Does that mean there are 3 bathrooms or 4? Some of the details I've read say it could fit 35 attendees?! I'm not seeing that from the pictures. Not that we need to put that many people in there, I'm just trying to get a mental picture of how much room we will have. :crowded: Our occupants would be 2 married couples 1 single adult and 3 children ages 3-8. I've requested the bunk beds. Any other ideas? You have all given me some good ideas of the concierge food available, so I think we are good there.

There is a recent review on Trip Advisor form someone who stayed in a 3 bedroom suite. They mentioned it was 3 connecting rooms and a small living room. They sounded disappointed. Check out the review on TA.

We stay in a 3bd suite concierge level at the GCH every year. Usually there is one bedroom with a King bed, and 2 bedrooms with 2 Queen beds in each, and a pull out couch in the living room. There are 3 bathrooms. We are a family group of 14 and we have enough room. I have never seen a 3bd suite with bunkbeds, but it's possible that that one of the connecting rooms could have bunks. There is a video on you tube if you google grand californian 3bd suite. I will dig around and see if I have any pics!

I looked for it. It sounds like they were expecting one of the 3 bedroom villas. I can see why they would be dissapointed. I would opt for one of those if it was available for my dates and came with concierge. But its not.:sad2: I know those would be a lot better. And I can understand a lot of the negative reviews because they are spending a lot of money and then have huge expectations. Luckily in our case it's being paid for by someone else, I never would be able to spend that much money on a vacation.

Wow if you do that would be great. :cool1: Good to know 14 can fit ok, we should be fine too then.

So I still don't have enough posts to post a link...but if you go to you tube and type in "nikibee72 grand californian" there is a video showing the suite.

We've stayed in the Grand Villa and it was amazing! We had a pool table, full kitchen. It was 2 story's and sleeps 12. I would opt to buy my own food from Costco and cook and bring food into my room. The master is downstairs with a huge bathroom. Then upstairs there are two bedrooms on either side of this big open space and they each have 2 queen beds. The middle where the pool table is has a pull out sofa.

We stayed in one in November that was the exact layout. We were right on the corner overtop the World of Disney (the corner closest to security). I'll try to post some pictures that I took tomorrow.

Don't forget the TV inside or behind the mirror in the master bathroom!! So Cool!! :happytv: Also, if you've had the park view room - the HUGE window with the AWESOME, STUNNING view of the PARK!! :wave2: It's just the best!! :thumbsup2 We will try for this room again in 2016!!! ;)

Most 1 bedroom suites are at the end of the hotel wings, in the corners. Normal hotel rooms are linked on each side to create a 3 bedroom suite. The 35 attendees is the capacity to entertain for a business cocktail party.
There are only 3 bathrooms.

A typical layout (sorry for the crude cut and paste):

The Grand Villa is much better for families, but it can be difficult to rent the large number of points needed.
There are 4 bathrooms.

Thanks for the floor plan layout. I agree the Grand Villas are way nicer, and actually work out cheaper than the 3 bdrm suites if I rented from Davids. Just not available for all of our dates, and then the concierge is not available for those either. I guess it's just a choice of what fits your group better.

I do believe 60-90 days out if the grand villa is not rented out the hotel will rent it out. This is what they told me in January. The dates ended up not working with another family so we opted not to go then. And if I had to choose a villa over concierge I am sure I'd choose the villa. Or get a large Von's order delivered.

Have you checked into suites at DLH? They have some great themed ones.

I didn't forget about the pictures, but life just got in the way. Here they are now! (and sorry I aparently don't know how to resize them!)

Here is the family room. That table on the left, just in the corner of the shot is a small dining table with two chairs. To the right of the picture would be the door to the balcony. On the 4th wall (not pictured) would be the tv, drawers and door to a bathroom. This was taken from the long entry hallway.

Also bedroom 1. Across from that closet is the bathroom. That bathroom also attachs to the family room on the other side. The toilet & tub/shower have a closing pocket door.

Bedroom 3 (didn't take a picture of bedroom 2, but it's the same) - 2 queens

Big patio that wrapped around to bedroom 1. We were just over the World of Disney. You can sort of see the dragon in this picture.
