Does anyone know the cost per night for the 3 bedroom grand villas for non-DVC members? I think that Saratoga and one or two more DVC resorts have the 3 bedroom villas. So a price for any one of them would be great.

I believe the lowest per night cost is around $1200 for value season at OKW. They go up from there to about $2200 at AKL and BWV.

I don't believe cost will be your issue as much as availability. I have been considering DVC for about a year now and the drawing perk was the GV's but I have been reading the boards and it seems they are very difficult to get and having a military spouse - I can't always plan 11 months out

Thanks my uncle and some other family members are thinking of going in October 2010. They know that I'm the expert in the family on WDW and wanted me to look into accomodation options for a party of 10.

At that time of year, as the PP said, you may have diffuculty getting in. Multi bedroom "DVC" rooms are at a premium during the entire F&W festival.

I think that your best option might be contacting Disney about doing a "Grand Gathering" which is available to groups traveling with 8 or more people older then 3. They have many options available, including studios, 1Br and 2Br DVC Villas. I am not sure about the Grand Villas since they are limited and the majority remain in DVC inventory, not CRO.

The big advantage is that you get to make your room reservations at 500 days out and are assured that your rooms or villas will be next to one another. You also get to make dining arrangements at 180 days out ... all with the help of a "personal" reservation assistant. No extra fee for any of this, somethimes there is even a discount attached to the rooms.

There are also other special tours and meals that are only available to "Grand Gathering" groups.
Hope you have a wonderful trip!:wizard:

Not sure availability will be a problem. I could have booked a Grand Villa at BWV two weeks before we arrived for the Food & Wine Festival last autumn. It was just the two of us and we didn't need the space. But, it came up as available!

Did you book it for the weekend? Weekend nights have historically been about double (they will be a bit less in 2010) so lots of members don't book on points for the weekend.

No, it was available for our entire 10 night stay!

Sounds to me like it was a cancellation and you happened upon it. F&W had a lot of cancellations due to both the economy and the fact Food and Wine was really Food and Whine last year.

I was offered a grand villa for three nights over the Thanksgiving weekend - cash through CRO.

I could have had a Grand villa for my trip last Sept, and this December too.My guess is even with Dvc some people may be cutting back this year.
