We are planning an October 2009 vacation, there will be 3 adults and 4 children. I am looking for various options at this time. I have priced out one week on resort, one week in a 4 bedroom home now I am looking at pricing out either two weeks in the rental home( waiting on owners quote) or one or two weeks in a 3bed condo.
Simplified......We are really just pricing out options on staying two weeks with one week on resort and week 2 off resort. Or the full 2 weeks off resort. We have done both a one week on resort at CBR and one week off in a rental home. We loved it both times, actually felt a little less hectic when we stayed off resort.....hard to believe for some but it worked for us!

Where have you stayed off resort that you would reccomend to a fellow Diser?

TIA! :wizard:

We really love Cypress Pointe Grand Villas 3 BR units. They are huge. We stayed there Summer 2007 for 5 nights with some friends and their children. We had lots of space. You can book through hotelkingdom.com at a pretty good price. Hope this helps.:)

We love either Marriott Imperial Palm Villas (all 3 bedroom) or Grand Vista, which also has 3 bedrooms, just not all of the units.

I've just been looking for ourselves at Windsor Hills 3 bedroom townhomes. They are pretty impressive. We stayed at Windsor Hills last time but with a bigger group in a 6 bedroom villa. This time its just the four of us but the prices are fantastic for what you get. And I loved Windsor Hills, its hard to go elsewhere.

Is Windsor Hills the resort community that offers condos next to the big pool then townhomes and villa homes that have a small splash pool?

Yes, it is. We stayed there in May and really enjoyed it. We only went to the parks for one day, and spent most of our time at the pool and relaxing. We would go to DTD or to the campfire at FW. Character meals at hotels. Pirate cruise for the kids. It was the most relaxing Disney trip ever.

We loved having 3 BDR with our three kids. It was so nice. And the W/D were awesome for keeping up with laundry.

It was a very nice complex, the townhomes are very new and ours was well-maintained. It is very convenient to the parks. We were in a parking space within 15 minutes of leaving WH. We took the tram to the boat launch to MK. Reverse going home, but it really wasn't bad. Even after watching the fireworks and leaving with the crowds.

We are going back for T-giving and staying in a different condo. You just can't beat the price. We are getting a rate of $600 for the week. Its awesome. We will be at www.mickeyadventure.com. I haven't seen it in person yet, but it looks great on the web with some cute Disney touches.

Best wishes for a magical trip!

We've done Marriott Horizons, other timeshares which were nice, plenty of space for a larger group. Lately we've switched to private rentals, liked it a lot. Stayed in rentals in Windsor Palms and Emerald Island. Both are in the same vicinity as Windsor Hills, just older communities without the bigger pool/clubhouse of WH. Maybe try VRBO? FWIW.
