Hi. We are trying to find 3 bed accom. with sofa bed type thing in lounge. Needs to be on I drive, self catering, near super markets and restaurants, good access to public transport, as we don't want to hire a car. Would need 2 double rooms and one twin room. Washing machine etc too. And ideas?

Is this for a Disney Vacation? Or are you going to Orlando to enjoy other areas besides Disney. Reason I ask is because without a car, I-drive isn't very convenient to Disney. It is more in the Universal Studios area. There are some very nice resorts in the neighborhood and I am sure they have transportation to DIsney. I have heard good things about Sheraton Vistana Villages and I do believe they are on I-drive.

Marriott's Grande Vista has 3 bedroom villas. I think Floridays does also. Both are on I-Drive.

Celebration Suites if you need 3 beds. It has a bedroom with 2 beds and a pull out couch and a murphy bed I believe its called, that pulls down from the wall.

We would be doing Disney, Sea World & Universal.

We don't want room only and we don't want DDP as we want to have the option of eating out on I drive, and also we want to cook some meals ourselves too (we have a very fussy son).

We also prefer not to hire a car.

I have found Vista Cay which looks great, and I have checked out bus routes etc to Disney and Universal.
We are happy to get taxi's some days and use public transport some days too.

This is really up to you, but you should know that Orlando has nothing like what one would call a "civilized" public transportation system---it is very much a car city.

I think would get more help on UK boards. I would look into Residance INN Suites on Canada Avenue. That is right off I-Drive and has plenty of resturants nearby. Plus they have plenty Drugstores that see food items. I remember a small grocery store in the Wal-greens on I-drive but it has been several years. The I-Drive trolley would for transportation to too.

We have been before with no car. Actually, never been there with a car before to be honest.
The Lynx Buses seem to offer good routes and also the I-Hopper looks good to us.
My husbands parents are going next year, Sheraton Vistana Resort with no car too, so I think it can be done?
