3 and 4- too young??? Having doubts.

So I just read the Unoffical Guide to WDW. The book seems pretty negative about taking preschoolers. Am I making a 3000 dollar mistake by taking a 3 and 4 year old to Disney??? Will they enjoy it?

I took a three and a 2 year old last year and they had a whale of a time!

We made so many amazing memories and wouldn't hesitate taking children of that age again!

If you approach it the right way, it is a fun adventure. We've been taking DD since she was 2 -- pretty much every year or even 2x a year. Each visit is a little bit different. She does not remember meeting Mickey for the first time, but I remember when she met him the first time. It still brings tears to my eyes.

Make sure to take lots of breaks, have a plan for touring, and take time to appreciate the little things that little kids enjoy.

The first time we took the kids to Disney they were 3 and 11. Our youngest at the time had a ball!! He doesn't remember that first trip but Mom is there with pictures in hand to share You can never get back those firsts in your kids lives and seeing our little man kiss Safari Mickey on the nose and catching that in a picture....priceless. He loved seeing the characters, Buzz and Woody were his absolute favorite back then.

We rented a stroller, made sure we had plenty of snacks and drinks and enjoyed WDW to the fullest!!

Now when we visit Disney we just make sure we have plenty of money!!! The kids are 9 and 17 and we are headed back again on Friday!!!

Take the kids and enjoy - they'll never be 3 and 4 again ... memories last a lifetime
