Does anyone have any recent experience with 3&4 yo in the kids club? Are they making them stay in a group or do they have the choice to do other things or be with siblings/friends if they want?

Thanks, I did see that. But I have heard from some people they do not have to do those activities and others are saying they do. I also called DCL and they said it was completely optional so I am very confused!

Do 3 year olds have to wear a lanyard with their ID card in it? or just the magic band in the kids club?

I’m still curious about this too. I’ve seen conflicting answers but none of them seem to come from firsthand accounts of people who have actually had a 3/4 year old child and an older sibling in the club recently.

I have family on the Dream currently. 3/4 year olds stay together as a group, not allowed to be with older siblings in the kids club

I might have to rethink my upcoming cruise, there's no way my 3.5 year old will go in without her sister.

We just got off the Dream earlier this week with a 4yo & 6yo. I can confirm that the 3/4s get a name tag sticker at check-in and then are with a dedicated set of counselors who keep them together and facilitate directed activities. Our 6yo was able to run over and say hi to the 4yo & give a quick hug/check-in but was not able to do activities. 4yo was not allowed to go off on her own in club/lab with older sister either.

4yo complained about not getting to be with her sister and getting "bossed around" by counselors who wouldn't let her go off on her own. BUT I do think she had a better time with the 3/4s than she would've with her sister anyway - based on our cruise last year when they were 3 & 5.

That may be true for other 4s who cruises as 3s and had the unstructured play time. I hope some of their “directed activities” include play time. That’s important for this age. I get the supervised small group, but it shouldn’t all be organized activities.

I do think there was plenty of free play for the 3/4s - just in designated areas (that changed) under direct supervision of the counselors.
