3/21/2010 -- 4 Night Disney Wonder Spring Break Cruise

We are going on the Wonder March 21-25! This will be our first cruise. We will be brining our two daughters, ages 3 and 8. Can't wait!!!! I do have a question though...how do you already know what dining rotation you are on?

You choose at the time of booking. Did you book with a TA or with Disney directly? Either way, you should be able to call either person and ask.

Oh, and WELCOME TO OUR GROUP!!!! :cool1:

I have only paid the deposit at this point. I have until January 5 to pay in full. I'm guessing once you've paid in full THEN you can choose? We booked through Expedia (wish I wouldn't have, knowing what I know now about the Disney travel agents).

On the WD Travel Company reservation it should indicate which dining you have (early or second). There is a column to indicate this on the reservation itself. If you can't find it, you can call DCL with your reservation # to find out.

You won't know your actual "rotation" until you arrive. It will be on your Key to the World Card and will read something like TAPT, etc. where T = Tritons, A = Animators Palate and P = Parrot Cay. This will let you know where to be each night. You'll also have cards in your room to tell you the time and place to be the first night, as well as your table number. Your table # will stay the same the entire cruise. For example, if you're at table 58 on Night 1, you'll also be at Table 58 at each of the other 2 restaurants. Plus, after the first night your servers will help you find your table.

We've done both early and second dining, and now prefer second dining as you're not so rushed. However, early dining is the preferred choice on the Disney Cruise and if you want it, you should call to get your name on the wait list.

Today, my DW and her sister and Mom board the Princess Coral in Los Angeles for a 15 night cruise through the Panama Canal!

They will all be on our cruise in March as well (plus our kids which will make 10 of us!). The kids were very excited last night knowing that the next time the group of us arrive at the airport to check-in, it'll be for our Disney Spring Break Cruise!!

It was crazy at the airport last night with all ten of us, even though only 3 of them were flying. I can't imagine what it's going to be like trying to successfully get all 10 of us on this Spring Break cruise!!

After searching on Disney's site and Expedia, it looks like our cruise is all but sold out!

I just booked this week - we are so excited! This will be our first cruise but after all I've read this week, definitely the first of many (I hope)! Please share any hints about making the trip the best ever...looking forward to hearing from everyone! :yay: Question: What's our best option for excursions in Nassau?

:welcome: I see from your signature that you're from KC. I grew up and lived around KC most of my life. We've recently relocated to Denver to be closer to my DW's family. I'm still a huge Chiefs fan, despite their recent down years.

I can't answer your question about Nassau. This is our fourth DCL cruise (29 nights), but our first cruise on the Wonder. We haven't decided whether or not to try Atlantis, or to do a snorkeling excursion. This will be the first cruise for my nieces and they want to snorkel. Yes, they can do it at Castaway Cay, but I didn't care for the snorkeling at CC as compared to other ports in the past. Personally, with only four days, I'd prefer to just stay on the ship.

What is a Fish Extender? I've seen it mentioned a couple of times but have no clue what it is.

I see that someone else has responded, but here's a picture of our fish extender from the last cruise. It was a lot of fun for everyone to participate. I'm not sure how many would participate in a FE exchange as their aren't many on this thread right now.

MERRY CHRISTMAS everyone! Just three more months until Spring Break!!

Hey everyone!
We will also be sailing on the 21st. It will be myself, DH, DS (6), and DS will turn 4 while on the ship. I was wondering if there is anything special I can arrange for him on his birthday.
This is our first cruise so we are still trying to decide what to do while on board.
Thank you for all the great advice!!

You can always ask for a cake. Here's a cake my son received when we told the head server about it:

Here's a cake my wife received after I told Guest Services about her birthday.

Another thing I did for my wife. I purchased a Hallmark Mickey Mouse birthday card before the trip. I gave the card to guest services and asked for the various characters to sign the card. They delivered the card to our stateroom on her birthday signed by several characters. I only mention that it was a "Hallmark" card because guest services said that for copyright purposes, they couldn't sign certain brands of cards.

KS Disney Dad...Thanks for the pics!! Sitting here in N. IL tonight looking at our at least 5 inches of fresh snow that was supposed to be 1-2. It's beautiful but I'm ready for some warm sun. Just looked at the calendar and we are just 12 weeks and 1 day away from "All Aboard". Can't wait!!!:cool1:

Just realized Alice in Wonderland comes out on March 5th. I'm sure....well, hoping it will be showing on board during our cruise!!!

12 weeks from today!!!

After 29 nights on board a Disney Cruise ship, I have yet to watch a movie on-board. I might consider the Alice in Wonderland if they're showing it in 3-D. I'm sure the kids will want to see it though.

With our nieces going, I'm sure we'll see Golden Mickey's and Disney Dreams again, but I'm really looking forward to seeing the Toy Story Musical for the first time as they don't show that one on the Magic.

I'm really looking forward to some R&R:

Yea, I say I hope its playing onboard but we probably won't sit down and watch it. We hardly see movies in the theaters here. It'll probably depend on the reviews when they come out. :)

Love the pictures!!! I am hoping we get a hammock like that to relax in!!!
