Day 8 (Dec 10th)
Weather today - warm and dry 68F
Up at 7.00 today after laying in bed watching the news and weather.
MGM today which we all love - probably my favourite Disney park due to being about films, as per Universal.
The car can now find it's own way to Disney, whilst I admire the views !! Again parked very close to the park as the crowds are as light as ever. Grabbed a hot chocolate/cofee breakfast from one of the stalls near Indiana Jones and drunk it whilst waiting for Indy to start. Great show as ever. All different actors and presenters from 2 years ago - I wonder how often these change ?
Lunch had to be Pizza Planet - I love the theming and Toy Story 2 is my favourite Disney movie.
DW and DD went on Star Tours (no simulators for me again.) Then on to Sounds Dangerous which we missed last time, it's ok if a little different from the norm. Backlot tour was great. We just missed a show and were at the head of the queue for the next one talking to the CM. We chatted for a few minutes and I mentioned that it had been Chloes birthday yesterday. At this he goes to his desk and calls Chloe over saying he has a phone call for her. Up she goes and listens to the phone with a huge grin on her face. When she comes back she told us that it was Goofy on the phone, singing Happy Birthday to her !!! Disney CM's - you can't beat them!!!
Watched the Stars in their Cars parade which was good - much better than the old Mulan parade.
A quick spin on the Great Movie Ride and then on to Fantasmic. No time for Aerosmith or Tower of Terror. (Aerosmith me and DW did last time and i still haven'e plucked up the courage to do TofT!)
An hour wait for Fantasmic - but it's so worth it!
Rush out of Fantasmic and over to the backlot to walk around the Osbourne lights. DW's niece had prepared us for the 3D glasses and angels piece but it looks wonderful - Angels everywhere around all of the lights. - tried to put the glasses over the lens of the video camera- but it didn't work (duh!) The lights are amazing.
Drive back to I-Drive and by popular request we stop at Tony Roma's for dinner again.
In bed at 22.15.
