2nd Timer With Questions

DH, DD (age 9.5) and I will be in Orlando with 6 full days to take in WDW and US/IOA. We arrive late on 8/25 and leave early on 9/1. Having only been to US/IOA once (in November) I am struggling with figuring out my dates.

We are locked into an event at WDW on Monday (8/29) but otherwise our calendar is open.

I was thinking Friday might be the best day for us to visit US/IOA at the beginning of our vacation and then spend the rest of the time at WDW but I'm a bit worried about crowd size on a Friday.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I had also read somewhere a recommended "guide book" for US/IOA but didn't write it down at the time and now can't find it again. Any suggestions for a good guide book would be great!

If you're going for WWoHP, I would suggest maybe going midweek to keep the crowds at a minimum.
