OK, here comes the 2. part.

We started the Saturday early because I wanted to avoid a long waiting time for breakfast. But when we arrived at 8am at the Parkside Diner we were almost alone for breakfast. And so we enjoyed a quit breakfast in this nice restaurant and afterwards we walked through the almost empty Village to the Disneyland park. But then the crowds started. I was surprised to see so many one-day visitors. Almost every cashpoint was open.
We started the day with Indiana Jones followed by a short break at the Saloon Mickey. The Saloon was so full you couldn’t get a seat. And so we left after a brownie to the Studios. There we did Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster! It was for both of us the first time and we were a little scared. But the ride is big fun. It is very soft and afterwards you are not hurt and you can do it again without feeling any pain! We will do this coaster again on our next visit! And the next time we will also try SM 2. Although it should be a much harder ride!
Until our 2pm reservation for the Silver Spur Steakhouse we filled the time with Magic of Disney Animation, BTM and PM. And then it was time for Lunch.
This was our first visit to this restaurant and we liked it. The only think that bothered me was the smell of smoked food. And that smell is so intense that you can even smell it outside the restaurant. (And I always wondered were that came from.) :stir:
But the restaurant itself and the food were great. I had a tomato-soup and a vegetable lasagne. The soup was so delicious that I can still taste it!
After that we went with our hotel FP to Peter Pan. And even with the FP we had to wait more than 20 minutes! At this time Fantasyland was so crowded it was almost impossible to do a ride there! Only Alice labyrinth was a walk on, and so we decided to visit the queen of hearts. After that we watched the parade from Fantasyland and went then to the Nautilus. Followed by 2 times BTM, Snow-white, PM and last but not least 2 times POTC. After that visit to the Caribbean it was almost 8pm and so we went to Mainstreet because I wanted to her the farewell at 8pm. Has anyone ever been there when the park closes? It is a strange moment, because you have 30 seconds of silence! Silence in a Disneypark! No music in Mainstreet! And then after 30 seconds the narrator says the farewell in 5 different languages. And then the music comes back and everybody can leave the park.
And so another great Disney day has gone to an end.

We started the Sunday with another early breakfast and also on Sunday we were almost alone at the Parkside Diner. At 10am we started the day at the Disneylandpark with BTM followed by 2 times POTC and a short visit to the crowded Saloon Mickey. But before we entered the Saloon I got in line for a beautiful picture with Minnie. (Later that day I even bought that pic because it was so beautiful.) Right behind me stood a little girl and she had a hand painted picture of Minnie in her hand. And on that picture you could read “To Minnie”. And then her big moment came and she gave the pic to Minnie.

And Minnie acted so cool. She showed the picture to everybody and then she drew the picture near to her body to show everybody how much she appreciates the drawing. Just great. These are the moments that make my Disney day! :wizard:
After the Saloon we went to the Studios. I never saw so many people in the studios as on this Sunday in January! Unbelivable! And so we only did Cinemagic and then got back to the other park. There we did PM and IASM. And afterwards it was time for our regular visit at Walt’s. We have been there already 3 times, two times in the Mainstreet room and one time in the Discoveryland room. This time I asked politely for a table in the Fantasyland or Adventureland room. But not only the park was crowded the Walt’s was at 2pm even more crowded. The CM could only offer a table in the Mainstreet room. And so we sat for the third time in that room. But we were also very fortuned because we got a table near the window. And so you can follow the life at Mainstreet while you are eating. We two had the same things we always take at this restaurant. As starter the tomato tatar followed by the delicious Walt’s Gourmet Burger! :sulley:
After that lunch we watched the parade on Mainstreet and afterwards we did BTM as last attraction for that day, because we had tickets for the Mylene Farmer concert. And so we got refreshed at the Hotel New York and then caught the RER to get to Paris.
We returned after a great concert at 1am. And on our way through the village we saw some construction worker removing on of the old pillars.
On Monday morning was a group at the Parkside Diner and so we “had to” take our breakfast at the Manhatten Restaurant (which was closed the last three days for breakfast). This is a real nice restaurant and it must be a pleasure to have dinner there. And as there were so little people Goofy was a bit bored in the hall and so he left his photo point to visit every table in the Manhatten restaurant! :wizard: (That was not a big deal as only 20 people there for breakfast)
The parks were on Monday almost empty and so we enjoyed the last hours.
This Monday started with a premiere for us. We started the day at the Studios. And it was very nice to see the cermony they do there. You feel as if you are in a real studio! :woohoo:
Here we only did the Studio tour and then we left to an empty Saloon Mickey. There we tasted the last brownies and afterwards we did BTM, PM Snowwhite, Pinocchio, IASW and we watched the Lion King Show from the Hyperion. And then it was time for our last restaurant reservation: The lunch at the Blue Lagoon. And there we were a little surprised because this was the first time that we didn’t get a table near the water. Although the park was not very crowded the Blue Lagoon was. And so we sat the furthest away from the water. But nevertheless it was a great meal as usual. And if you ever eat there you have to try the Crème Brulée! DELICIOUS!
After that great lunch we did two times the POTC and then we left the park to get our flight from CDG.

Résumé: This was our 11th trip and it was once again perfect. pixiedust:
Really nice weather (only sunshine and not to could and no wind) and this in the middle of January! But to be honstest with you I would not plan again a trip during the winter. It is to cold to be there. And I don’t want to imagine how the trip would have been with bad weather! (Rain, no sunshine, strong wind, temperatures under 0C°) DLRP was this time only the second priority. The first one was the concert and so we planned the trip around the concert. But the next time I will be a little bit cleverer and I will not visit on a weekend. Even though the weekend is in winter. I never expected so many one-day visitors in the resort. So I learned from that: Avoid the weekends ALL year long. Otherwise: :crowded:
And as I just said I will not visit again in one of the winter month. It is to cold to be outside for 10 hours. We went to every shop just to head up a little. And we only choose covered attractions. We skipped things like the carousell, the teecups or Dumbo. The resort is much more beautiful if you can have a seat on a park bank and watch the people passing by and enjoying the atmosphere. And not thinking about were to head up in the next time!
But I was astonished about the flora in the resort. There were much more green trees and plants then I thought would be; Especially on Mainstreet and Adventureland. Even the trees along Mainstreet were wearing there leaves!
And the biggest highlight of this trip was our hotelroom! :cool2:
I was very surprised about the Hotel New York and especially about the more than beautifull room we got. It is really worth to spend the extra money for a Disney hotel or the extra money for a lake- or parkview! I read very often on the Disney boards that people say they rather sleep offsite and spend more money for shopping, but I prefer to stay onsite and therefore cut the shopping cost (a little). :cool1: But that is only my oppinion. I will end my trip report with one more picture of our perfect Hotel New York room!

I think this just about sums up Disney, Marcus. It was your 11th trip and the magic is still there! :wizard:

Thanks for sharing your lovely report with us. :)

Marcus great report, I'll link it to the Index later :)

I once read that many of the garden areas use plants and bamboo to create micro-climates so that shrubs and bushes can flourish all year long :goodvibes

That was a wonderful report Marcus - thank you so much!! :goodvibes

Marcus lucky you to have visited 11 times!

Glad you enjoyed the weekend. Although we were both there for the same few days we did things differently! My DS and DD do not like the characters and so we never spend any time with them - but the meeting you describe between Minnie and the little girl sounds so sweet.

How odd that Blue Lagoon was busy on Monday lunch time - nowhere else was! Everyone must have had the same idea as you for lunch.

WHAT??? I think it is time to look for a new DS and DD! :rotfl2:

I love the interaction with the characters so much! I have so many beautiful pictures! Last year in October I found Minnie, Mickey and Goofy in Adventureland and I was lucky enough to get on ONE picture with all of them! These are unvorgetable Disneyland Paris moments!!! :grouphug:

What a brilliant report. I like you will now avoid the weekends due to the crowds and will definitely avoid the winter due to the cold!!! Our next trip is midweek in July!!!!!!!!!!!!! hopefully lots of :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: :cool1:

Wow what a room and what a view. I can hardly believe that weekend crowds would be so bad in January - thank goodness we are booked for a weekday stay.

The tale of Minnie's picture brought a tear to my eye - so magical!

That was a wonderful report I hope to still be as enthusiatic about the resort when I'm on my 11th visit. :cheer2: :cheer2:

BTW Rosie - you're not alone, my DH and DS's love the rides but they don't get the "Disney thing" at all. I don't think they'd even notice if there weren't any characters there. :confused3

To be honest: it is geting worse with every visit. I get more and more addicted! DLRP is my drug! And when I tasted the drug (like last month) I want to have more immediately. I hope I can survive the time until our next trip! And more importantly: I hope I can save enough money to pay for my drug!
