Our son will be celebrating his 2nd birthday at Disney. I'm not sure exactly what's available that we could do for a small party for him or a special activity to take him to.

Have any of you ever celebrated a birthday with your kids at Disney? What did yku do to make their day special?

I would just choose a character meal you think he would enjoy. You can order a small cake or honestly I would just stick a candle in your bag for an on the buffet cup cake in case they don’t give him one to celebrate his birthday. Sometimes they do but it’s not guaranteed. Sing and call it a day. Oh, for sure get him a celebration button. He will get lots of extra attention.

We did it for our twins 3rd birthday.
We did Chef Mickey's for breakfast and BOG for dinner.
We had a cake delivered from one of the Disney bakery to BOG.
During the meal, my wife and the server went around the corner and put on some small Disney characters and candles (purchased in advance) on top of the cake.

I ordered a cake for my grandsons 1st birthday at Erin Mckenna's Bakery at Disney Springs. They are delivering it to a character meal at Minnie's Seasonal Dine. I ordered a mickey first birthday bib and Disney characters that come on toothpicks that we will put in the cake...should look cute!

Let the front desk know that you're celebrating a birthday upon check in (go to the desk if you do the online check-in), and you will likely get a birthday voicemail from a character (or more). Once your child is old enough for a magic band, you may also get a video message through MyDisneyExperience if you are there on a birthday :) Also, get the pin and bring a candle for dessert of your choice, as mentioned by others above. Happy birthday!

We're celebrating my son's 4th birthday in September. He's Dino crazy so we're having dinner at T-Rex in Disney springs. I'm planning on ordering dessert off the menu, but having candles to add to it so we can sing for him. We're going to purchase him a Build-a-Dino stuffy as his birthday gift. We also plan on having him wear a birthday pin earlier that day at MK! Good luck planning!

The chocolate extinction there would be perfect for that! It's pretty cute with a dried ice mixer in the middle that makes it smoke. You son will love it.... The three adults in our group who did it last year still talk about it.

We celebrated my son's second birthday at Disney. I pre-ordered a small cake and had it delivered during our meal at Whispering Canyon. The trip was really more for my older kids (who will likely remember we went) but happened to fall on my youngest birthday. I wanted to do something to recognize the day, so the cake was the perfect thing. He had his "moment" when we and the rest of the restaurant sang "Happy Birthday" to him and I have the memories. :flower: After analyzing all sorts of things I could do, I decided on the cake. We rarely get to Disney, so just being there was celebration enough, and I'm guessing he won't even remember the trip. Glad we have many pictures to keep the memories alive and show him when he's older.
