Well for me the day started out early and mom and I were up and at em! We dropped the kiddos off at school and Shane took us to the airport. We were glad to be rid of the sight of any and all men and kiddos and we were FINALLY ALONE!!! ;) :cool1:  The Trip had FINALLY started! It was a tad early but we knew it would be awhile before eating again so we decided to stop at the California Pizza Kitchen at the airport and had a few pizzas.

After that we picked up a few mag's at the local news stand and checked out the webkinz for my daughter (her birthday is next month). They had a GREAT two fer deal and we seriously considered it but didn't want to be stuck carrying them for days. :sad2: So we passed. Should have done it though cuz ONE Disney one was almost double what one of these was. Oh well. Lesson learned. But anyway soon enough it was time for our flight and we qued up with all the other sheep and were on our way.

We had originally been at the Hojo's with the rest but had a change of plans at the last minute and switched to the Desert Inn. Anywho as SOON as we landed I looked at the arrival's board and was checking for any and all flights from the Spokane area to see if Capri and Debra's plane had arrived as we were sharing a cab. I found one I THOUGHT might be their's and then called them. Sure enough it WAS their's and so I called them and they meandered down. It was so funny because I was standing their and Capri walked up behind me and called me because she wasn't sure if it was me. LOL.

Anyway we hugged and did our intro's and then walked out to the cab place and I had mom do all the talking cuz she has done LOTS of international travel and is good at all that negotiating stuff! ;)

So we were on our way. We got a great guy from Egypt and a GREAT rate and he even wanted us to use him for the return problem is we already had a shuttle booked. (sorry dude, maybe next month ;) )

Anyway we got to the Hojo and dropped off Capri and Deb and then he dropped us off and then we checked in and relaxed for a bit and headed out to DTD. We did a little shopping and then headed in to Disneyland. We needed a little snack and I had always wanted to try the famous corn dogs I had heard everyone raving about but of COURSE Coke corner didn't HAVE one :sad2: so I just got a mickey pretzel. So we sat by the partners statute and then mom proceeds to spill her coffee not once but TWICE. I told her HELLO those benches are curved and after she did it the first time she did it AGAIN! Sheesh! But anyway JUST as we were about to get up and go on pirates they called and said they were in line for haunted and so we went on pirates and then met them. After that I think they had fast passes for indy so mom and I just checked out the shop across from it and then it was about time to head to the pizza party. So we walked back and they headed to the Hojo and we went to our hotel.

We then headed out to the party and I was a bit worried about not knowing everyone but the candy buffet looked AWESOME. And everything else looked great as well! I immediately met Michelle (Zoemakes5) who I hit it off with and ended up spending quite a bit of time with the rest of the trip as well as I believe Heather (Lillycat and Sarah/Sahbushka). More and More people showed up and we did a really fun ice breaker type game and that really helped get to know people.

Then we ate and the Tote exchange was a BLAST. There was some adorable homemade totes but they were ALL really cute! And of course the fights over the totes is always fun! We all had a great time getting to know eachother and I was sad to see the evening end.

Got up bright and early and mom and I stopped at Dennys and had a light breakfast of oatmeal. Then headed out to the parks. Headed over to Princess Fantasy Faire and we took our Diva shot with the princesses in our tiara's and in mom and I's case (boas) princess: .

After that we split up and some of us rode the new and improved Small World which I must say I really enjoyed! After this I think we got some fast passes for Space and then I believe we went on Buzz. I am not sure if I am leaving anything out but it wasn't too long before it was time for our lunch at Blue Bayou. We may have slipped at ride on Pirates in there.

We all checked in at Blue Bayou and had a nice lunch. Mom and I both had the Mahi Mahi and the salads for the starter. Then for the desert we both had the Creme Brulee. I must admit I have had better things there but it wasn't TOO bad. After lunch to be quite honest I can't remember exactly which rides we did. I know for me I was just enjoying the company of all the gals. I personally hung out with Capri, January, Beth, Jen (Grizzbuzz), Michelle and Mellody quite a bit of the time and I didn't care if I went on rides or not. I was just enjoying being there and seeing everyone. I do know that we went on Big Thunder mountain at one point and Space and both were fun. Eventually it was time to check in at Carnation Cafe and there were SEVERAL of us at that meal. So we did that and I had myself, mom, Donna, Michelle, Kerry, Tracey and someone else I am forgetting (sorry). It was a REALLY nice dinner and I had my FAV potato soup and half sandwich. It was REALLY good. Then after dinner we all went on the DVC tour which was really nice except mom left her tote with her brand new camera outside and almost lost it but luckily got it back! :headache: And then after dinner a big group of us went to the napa rose lounge for drinks and desert.

Friday was a REALLY fun day! :)

Saturday March 7, 2009

Once again up with the chickens as we had an early breakfast at Storytellers. We all gathered and this was the day we all wore our matching tink shirts. The food was really good as was the company and then afterwards we all gathered in front of the floral mickey for our group photo. We then met for our scavenger hunt. That was a LOT of fun and one of my most favorite things to do. Our team came in 5th unfortunately but we still had a blast!! After the hunt mom and I were toast  so we just sat for a WHILE at both DL AND DCA and never DID end up going on any rides that day. We looked at the Blue Sky Cellar and walked around a bit and then came BACK to DL and sat some more waiting for everyone to arrive at Cafe Oreleans for dinner and then finally we had our dinner which was awesome but NOT on the old diet! After dinner a group did fantasmic and then Capri mom and I went to the GC for drinks and Wendy and Jen joined us and it was a nice relaxing evening! So once again a nice day!

Sunday March 8, 2009

Last Day! We had to change the clocks last night and then with our late night I was DRAGGING! But we did get up eventually but luckily we didn't have to be there TOO early. We just had to be there by 10 so mom and I went to Dennys again and I just had a bagle this time and then we got over there and went in and slowly people showed up. We then did the pick for Bob and then Jen, Michelle, Mom and I did the Sleeping Beauty Diorama which I had done since I was a teen.

It was well done I thought! Anyway then we headed across to DCA to do TSMM and did the single rider line and then got soarin fast passes and did that and then it was time for our lunch. We had lunch at Trattoria and said goodbye to a bunch of people and then Michelle, Molly, Mellody, Mom and I walked around for a bit. We did the animation academy and Mel and I did Tower. Finally it was time for Molly to leave and then getting close for us so Mel and January left and it was done to just mom and I so we just hung out and did some last minute shopping.

All in all it was a GREAT trip and I can't WAIT to do it again next year!! :)

Wow Kelly, I can't believe you already wrote up your report! :rotfl:

I had such a great time meeting you and getting to hang out with you and your mom for awhile. It seems like I hardly saw you, but reading your report, I know I was there for most of it. :goodvibes

Everything was so much fun and I'm already excited for next years trip!!! :yay:

It sounds wonderful and maybe next year I will be able to figure out a way for me to join in.:goodvibes You are so impressive getting your trip report done so quickly!:goodvibes

Great report Kelly!
That's funny that you didn't go on any rides on Saturday, because we didn't get on a ride until after 4:00 that day!
Also, for future reference, they sell corn dogs out ot the red wagon across the street from Coke corner. Sadly, I didn't get one on this trip, so I guess I have a reason to go back soon.

Wendy- I know isn't it funny. It seems like I didn't see you that much but I guess you WERE there for half that stuff but I agree my funnest part with you was our night at GC. That was a LOT of fun and I suggested to Cheryl at least ONE night where we have some downtime to just veg and get to know eachother better! I REALLY enjoyed that and felt like at the pizza party I didn't get to meet everyone! I really had fun with you! Can't wait to spend more time next time! :)

Kaoden- We DID have a great time and I DO hope you can come, the more the merrier and you will have a BLAST and I hope to meet you! :)

Tina - Oh my gosh our legs hurt so dang bad from running around LOL. We just SAT for so long but when we were at CA we got some pins for wearing our lanyards and had a couple different cm's and then some other just people notice our shirts and lanyards so I told mom hey if we sit here long enough maybe we will win a million bucks or something ;). But anyway yeah I never got that corn dog so something for next time I guess. :) And even WORSE I didn't get to see your BOYFRIEND! The shame of it all! ;)

Kelly! The Golden Horseshoe is an awesome place to chill out and relax! You have no excuse for missing out on seeing my boyfriend. Next year the Billys will have to be on the official schedule!

Great trip report. I can't believe you got yours out so fast. Now I really feel the pressure.

Thanks Stac but I KNOW Yours is going to be the bomb. Mine was just a quickie version while I still had SOME version left in my alzheimers brain LOL.

I can't WAIT to hear yours cuz it always makes me laugh! Hurry up girl! I needs me some laughs! ;)

Great report! It was so much fun doing the scavenger hunt with you, your mom, & Laurie. I was sure we had more right, but it was okay coming in 5th place. I was just happy to play with you all!

Loved meeting you & your mom. You two are a real hoot. :)

And, I agree with Tina, I think the Golden Horseshoe should be on next year's agenda.

Wow Kelly, quick on the trip report!!

I wish I could have hung out with you guys a little more. There is just only so much time, and we can't travel in groups of 30!!

You and your mom are such dynamos!! Wish my mom could have come!!

Add more pictures, all of them make me laugh, or sigh with jealousy since I had to come home Saturday!

Amy Sue

Glad you liked the report Amy. Honestly I really didn't take that many. I think I only had like 30 total and a lot are repeats of the pizza party and breakfast etc. But I agree. Next time we need to try to spend more time with some of the gals we didn't meet THIS time.

Like a "veg" night! ;)

Mornin KellY!!!

Gee, you are quick!!

A great report!! I kind of feel the same way about the rides. I did the big bomb ones, but realized that I had only stepped foot in Fantasyland the day of our Princess Pictures, and only rode Small World. I never got back. Not even for Peter Pan!! :scared1: But all was well, cuz I was having such a good time just visiting with you, and all the others. :grouphug:

Good times, and really look forward to next year already!!

Thanks,

Melody:hug:
