I have a question concerning the number of points necessary to book a 2BR lock-off. Since I always book 1BRs, I hadn't thought about this issue until I noticed it using the online booking. The Club requires the same number of points for a dedicated 2BR or a 2BR lock-off; however, it requires more points to separately book a 1BR and studio that make up the 2BR lock-off. Since there is only a fixed number of points that are sold to members, how is this possible?

If the total points sold are predicated upon the combined number of 2BRs, whether dedicated or lock-off, then all of the sold points couldn't book all of the rooms if 1BR and studios are booked which should make it easier to get a reservation. On the other hand, particularly if the total points sold is based upon the dedicated 2BR, 1BR, and studios, why should a member be permitted to book a 2BR lock-off for less points than required to book each unit separately? This would leave extra points in the system for members to book rooms making it more difficult to get a reservation.

Well you're just booking a 2 bedroom. It just happens to be a lock off in some situations.
