2BR at BCV in early Dec

This is going to be our first trip "home" and since we're taking other family members we need a 2BR. I know early December is a very popular time for DVC members. Will it be difficult to get a 2BR at our home resort for 7 nights in early December? Will I have to call each day for ressies or do I wait until 11 months from the check out day? Ultimately, I would like to move the ressies to OKW at the 7 month mark, but I'm really not counting on it. Thanks for the advice!

I wouldn't think you would have to call day by day. We will be reserving a 2 bedroom at OKW for 12/1-12/10, and I plan to call 1/10 to make the whole ressie.

we joined about 7 months before our last trip (just got back last week) and we could not get a 2BR at BCV (home resort) but could get one at OKW.

We ended up getting stuck in a snow storm the first two nights so we cancelled OKW anyways. I have heard here that OKW is generally the last to sell out. But if you are trying to book at home and transfer to OKW you may want to consider day by day to be safe. I think I will from now on

IMHO, you should be fine calling once for your 2 bedroom at BCV - i.e., just call at the 11 month mark for the check out of the last day of your anticipated stay.

If you are nervous about it, call at the 11 month mark for the checkout of your first day and reserve it. Ask the CM at that time, how things look, then follow his/her advice about calling for the rest of the stay. I'd be willing to bet that the CM will say things are still fairly open and you only need to call back one more time to get the rest of your stay. The CMs are really pretty good about estimating availability - they will tell you if they think a day by day call to reesrve is necessary.

Again, it's JMHO, but calling day by day for a 2 bedroom at BCV won't be necessary, even for the first two weeks of December.

If you wanted a standard view at BWV, my advice would be very different!
