I just made received my ressie confirmation in the mail for 9 nights in May for a 2BR at BCV. It says "dedicated". We've never stayed in a 2BR before. I think dedicated is when it's only a 2BR usage, not a 1BR + a studio. Correct? I understand that BCV also has a number of 2BR units that have 2 queen beds instead of 1 queen bed plus a sofa-sleeper. I want the bed/sofa-sleeper combo because there will only be 2 adults in that room, and if it was me I'd prefer to have a sofa to sit on to watch TV or read.

My question is this: "Is it the dedicated 2BR at BCV that has the bed/sofa-sleeper combination or 2 beds?"

I appreciate any help you can give me on this.

A dedicated has two queen beds and no separate entrance to the hallway on the bedroom side. Your understanding of the room setup is correct. You should call and ask for a change.

BCV is a little different - only half 25 - have the 2 queen beds - the other half have a queen bed and double (queen?) sleeper sofa - but since you are going with another couple - I would ask for a lock-out - they will have their own entrance.

the dedicated (my opinion) is for family with small children that you don't want access to the hall from their bedrooms.

I have a 2 BDR. dedicated booked for next June at BCV.
I specifically requested 2 Q's and my ressie states 2Q's.

2 bdr 2Q's is a room category, so if your ressie does not say 2Q's than you will receive the Queen/Sleeper combo in the second bedroom.

Like the previous poster said, at BCV, a dedicated 2BR without a bed type specified in the room type has the queen/sleeper, but if it says '2BR Dedicated 2Q' or something like that, then it will have the two queens. So, you should have the type you'd like. Maybe it would even be a good idea to change to a 2BR lockoff, so the other couple will have their own entrance to their 'bedroom' - but I don't really think it would be a big deal since BCV has the foyer with access to the second BR instead of having to go thru the LR.

Enjoy your stay!

You should be just fine the way you are. With the confirmation you have, you will have a dedicated 2 bedroom with a queen bed and a sleeper sofa. The nice advantage to the dedicated is that there will be 2 closets in the 2nd bedroom as well as 2 sinks instead of one like in the lock off. Unless you have someone sleeping on the sleeper sofa in the Living Room and the people in the 2nd bedroom will be coming in late and disturbing them, I would leave it just like you have it.

Thank you all for your replies. I knew I could count on DISers to straighten it out!!!
