I was just looking around Hotwire and they are offering a 3* hotel for $29, but the amenities say it's a resort.
So would I be getting a 3 star hotel or a resort?

I just got this yesterday based on some other advice on the board. It was Best Western in Lake Buena Vista.

It isn't there anymore! What a great deal!

They are listing a 4 star for 59. I wonder what it is.

Anyone know a site that lists hotwire's hotels??

We aren't getting a rental car and have UPH's that we want to take full advantage of, so we need to stay very close to on site. If we don't get something at Hotwire, we will probably wind up at one of the All Stars.

Try www.betterbidding.com Jim has been putting together a list of the Hotwire properties with their amenities, so people will have a better idea of which property they're getting

I was monitoring hotwire for the past couple weeks. When my DVC reservation waitlist came through yesterday and I knew when I would need a cheap room for a day before BCV. I went on Hotwire to find the $29 3 star gone. :(
Then I read on
http://pub210.ezboard.com/bpricelineandexpediabidding

about the Priceline bid that had gone through with the $25 amount getting a 2 1/2 star BW at LBV. I realized this was the Hotwire hotel too through the post on that site. So I bid $20 for a 3star - didn't get it then bid $25 for a 2 1/2 star hotel and got it. It was Best Western at Lake Buena Vista. with tax and priceline fee $33.27. I have since read there is a $7 resort fee tacked on so .... $40 isn't bad for a Saturday night quick stay.
