28 inch Jack Skellington Help!!!

Please Help!

I am looking for any information on a 28 inch Jack Skellington figure. They were sold in the park about 3 yrs ago. Does anyone know what they are made of? What is a good price for one if I could find one? How many were made? When they stopped making them? Any information would be great!!!

Sounds like you are looking for a Jack Skellington Big Fig. The big figurine pieces of Disney Characters are great! I have a small collection of about 7 of them, but some people collect quite a few. The pieces range somewhat in price, but are around $125. They are often sold in WDW at the Art of Disney shops. They may still have a Jack Skellington there at one of them. I don't know if they have stopped making that one or not. You can order them and have them shipped (I have done this before). They are a resin material I believe.

The item Vince describes sounds like a ceramic piece?

My daughter (12 now) has a stuffed, pose-able jack that's about 28" that she got in Disneyland in 2003. He's in his black and white striped suit. It cost about $25.00 then. We haven't seen the large one like hers in a couple of years although there were smaller ones. Is this what you're asking about?

I don't think she would ever part with it as she's a big NBC fan since she was 4!

All the Big Figs such as the once Vince mentioned are resin.

Tomarts Disneyana Update Issue #62 has a whole article about big figs along with a price guide. According to Tomarts

Jack was produced in 2001 It states it was sold at DL and in the catalog for $150. I have seen it for sale at WDW in the past. The books also states it is retired.

I'd call the art of Disney as Vince suggested. They may have "found one in the backroom". Disney is well known for doing that with retired pieces.
