28 callers and not one able to get a PS???

As some of you may have read on other posts, in May I am taking my entire family to WDW for a VERY lengthy stay. My Sisters all had one thing they just had to do... Eat at Cindy's. No problem I thought, I mean I haven't ever had a problem in the past (NEVER, EVER) there were about 11 days that I could try for... the first couple of times I tried and couldn't get anything. I thought "hmmm I know, I will have all my staff help me" 28 people calling starting 10 min prior to opening, one of us it bound to get a PS... and to my dismay NOT ONE of us has.

-- I am going to take a minute here to address all who are going to comment on me using my staff to help me call in. First they all Volunteered; second, they are all just eating breakfast at work about that time,not working; and third, we had a system so that if one person got it the rest of us would say nevermind to the Rep so we didn't take more then we needed.--

I just had to vent a bit... I seriously have never had trouble and I really have a hard time believing that with that many of us, not one got a PS... oh well I will just make my sisters the Cream Cheese French toast right before we go... lol thanks for listening to my ranting...

What size of a party are you asking for?? It could be that if you tried to get too big of a party (6-8 or more)at one time, they might not have had anything available. If you have more opportunities, try again with multiple callers and ask for a table for 4 - maybe several of you will get the grouping you are looking for.

I think that's the key. You have to be willing to "play" with the numbers. If you still have more days to call, tell them how many you need a PS for. Then add that you will take a PS for less.

"I need a PS for 10, but will take one for less if you have it."

I did this a few times last year when I was helping others get PS.

If you get a PS for less than you need, call back about 15 minutes later to see if any others opened up. If 2 people are calling for the same group and they both get a PS, they will have to cancel one of them.

My DH and I tried to get PS's every day for 9 days, using 4 phones. We couldn't even get through to speak to someone. So, I can beleive it.

Yet my boss called once, knowing only what I suggested (call early) and got right through. Party of 4. Of course, he got a 9:50 PS.

It really is luck. There are a LOT of people calling all at the same time. There are a limited number of seats available.

On the one hand, we are empowered due to the information we get on these and other boards. On the other hand, so are hundreds of other people.

We had such a hard time with a Cindy's PS (party of 5) that we refered to it as "Cinderella's Royal NIGHTMARE!"

We too tried for over a week, and finally on the VERY last possible day, we had 4 people on 7 phones (between home lines and cell phones) and FINALLY we got a PS. Not the most prefered time, but a seating none the less.

Next time, we're going to try the Princess Breakfast at Epcot instead.....

We just tried for the last date we could have done it and.... nothing.... I am a bit confused by it though three times since posting this we have called back twice of those three times 8 of us got a phone rep right off no holding and they immediatly said its all sold out... finally today I asked "how does it sale out not even being open for a whole minute?" lol she says there are some fanatical people out there and then just laughs. I said "yeah I am one of them, but I didn't get my PS" she was really nice in fact the nicest that I have talk to yet! So now it is confirmed I will be inviting the fam. up to my home for brunch and I will be making "Cream Cheese FREEDOM toast" (thanks for the correction >>^..^<<).

This goes against the conventional wisdom, but on our last trip I called around 8:15 a.m. and got a table. I think a lot of people have friends and family make the multiple calls, then once they compare notes they cancel any extra reservations and some tables go back in the inventory.

We have eaten at CRT on 2 trips and I only had to call once each time to get in. Good luck.

Last night before I went to bed I got a call from my 8 yr old niece... she wanted to know if I was "able to get a table to eat with the princesses" I told her that I would be trying in the morning. Well as you can read above I wasn't able to get a PS. my Brother called me about 10 min ago and told me that my niece insisted on getting up and calling. She got through but my brother and his wife hadn't gotten up so so told the rep what she wanted and for how many people, SHE GOT IT... she had to go wake her mom up so that she could give them her card #... I still can't believe it!!! too funny
