Oh my gosh, I cannot believe it, we are at 27 days! In four weeks we will be at Disney World.

Problem is I am SCARED TO DEATH and am starting to panic! I have been planning this trip since we won it in December and now we are so close, I am in full out panic mode!

I have my adr's, been checking my Delta ressies daily ( they keep switching fligts on me :furious: ) and have a daily schedule already figured out.

I just feel like I dont know what I should be doing, am so scared that we arent going to have a good time or that my 2 yr old daughter is going tohave a meltdown on the plane and they will make us get off before we even take off.

This is our very first real vacation, we have neve flown, never been to disney.......tell me its going to be ok and what I should be doing!!

Just wait till the nightmares start ;)

Seriously, though, remember that it is supposed to be FUN!

My favorite thing to do a couple of weeks before the trip is to go to the trip reports board and read! Reading about other peoples' experiences gets me so excited for the trip, and I always learn from them!

Other than that? You could:
-Make a packing list
-Do any last minute shopping for trip supplies
-Clean the house so that coming home isn't so bad
-Watch Disney movies with the kids, and talk about how you get to see those characters soon!
-Check out the food porn thread (I think it is actually called something like Post your -Pics of Disney Food Here) on the restaurant board and drool over all of the yummy things you get to eat soon!
-Let DD help you make a countdown callendar, where you can tear off a day each day

etc!

Relax - it'll all be OK! In fact, it will be wonderful. It sounds like you have everything planned out, and now it's just hard to wait. Clean your house, get ready for the holidays - find some project to work on to distract yourself.
Also, remember - it's not ALL going to be perfect, or exactly the way you planned, but often the unexpected things turn out to be the most fun. It takes me a day or two once we're there to relax and not be uptight, but it's so worth it - then I notice the fun little things and appreciate them.
Example - our first trip, our bus took us from our resort to the TTA, instead of to MK. I was so upset (losing time!!!)... but then, we asked to ride in the front of the monorail, and were able to - and my family's first glimpse of the MK was through the front of the monorail, on a gorgeous day with the sun just shining on Cinderella's Castle. Then, as we went into the park, I was again upset because we were not allowed to go straight into Fantasyland - we had to detour around through Tomorrowland. (The idea! ;) ) Well, we came around a corner, and there were Pooh and Tigger - and Tigger was (still is) my DD's absolute favorite and best friend. They spent a lot of time with us, and Tigger played and played with my daughter and her stuffed Tigger (who was connected by a cord to our backpack). What a priceless memory - she still talks about it, nearly 5 years later (and she was only 4).

Anyway, all that to say - you are going to have a great time - and a lot of it will be the "unplanned" magic...

Have fun!!! :goodvibes

Actually its not so much the planning, just worried that I have forgot to do something, am scared of the flying portion- I have never flown and am terrified. Also scared how the girls are going to do. If the adrs and such dont go off its ok, just afraid of the unknown I guess.......thanks all for your replies!

Take something on the plane to keep you occupied, it is kind of boring once you get up there. I'm not the fondest of flying either, but it is a great way to get there.

Enjoy relax and go with the flow.

Relax and have a great time. The more nervous/terrified you are the more 2yo will be also- kids that age take mommy's and daddy's lead on stuff like flying. You stay cool and she'll be fine too. Take a lollipop or something for her so her ears don't pop/bother her too much on the plane.

STRESS! Hows this for stress!? We are leaving in 13 days- Monday Nov 27th- I have to:

- start tanning TO-DAY!!!
- hair appt this Friday Nov 17
- I have a b-day party this weekend Sun Nov 19th (gift? what gift? who has time?)
- I am having Thanksgiving at my house this year Thurs Nov 23 (food? what food? who has time for food?)
- I have a wedding to go to the day after Thanksgiving Fri Nov 24 (gotta get a card)
- DH and I are invited to friends house for dinner on Sat Nov 25
- need to get a pedicure SOME TIME next week
-OH YES- I HAVE TO PACK!!!

to top it off- the past 2 nights I have been to the mall trying to find a dress for the Nov 25th wedding! I have to go back tonight b/c still no luck! WHY is it- you find a dress you love and you need the next size bigger or smaller- you just KNOW it will fit- and there are NO other sizes at all in the store!

I dont know what the weather will be like when we go to Disney- checking accu-weather and it seems like in the 70's- but that means all kinds of clothes need to be packed-

I need to go buy new jeans for Disney too! :faint:

Thank goodness all my ADRs are done and I have a half decent schedule for Disney or my head would explode!!

OK- I now have to go and get ready to run off to the mall.......again! Wish me luck on a dress tonight!

Sorry for freaking! :wave2:
