25th anniversary scrapbook help wanted!

I have a friend on the DIS, who wants to make a scrapbook for her parent's 25th anniversary. She's done a little scrapping, but not a lot. Mainly Disney stuff. She won't have a lot of time to get pages done, so keep that in mind.

She's looking for ideas, good sites to buy albums and other things she might need since there aren't scrapbook stores in her area, sites where she might get some additional ideas, etc. I'm planning to share some ideas with her, but we thought if we all put our heads together it might be easier.

She asked me if I would post this for her, since her parents get on the DIS once in a while and she doesn't want to give away the surprise. She can come here and read what you post without giving anything away and could even communicate through PM with you if she had questions.

So please help out a fellow DISer. Come up with some ideas.

I'm in the middle of doing a 50th Anniversary scrapbook for a friend. To keep it more simple I decided to keep it to a Gold and Black theme alternating the pages into 2 page spread on black shinny paper and the pictures back in the dull gold. The oppisite colors on the next 2 page spread would be the pictures backed in the shinny black and put on the dull gold.I have to say it is a very simple classic look. I've used some stickers---ballons and conffeti in the gold colors. I'm alos making a pocket page for there cards. I'm thinking of making a weave pattern out of the gold and black.
Since yours is for a 25th Anniversary you could do the silver and black theme.

I just remembered something I did in my in-law's 50th anniversary album. I got on the computer and did a little research. I looked for most popular songs, movies, etc from the year they got married and the present. I also put in the way prices have changed over the years for bread, gasoline, etc.

You know, the kind of things that you sometimes see on a personalized birthday card? Like top news stories, stuff like that. It was a popular page. Everyone got a kick out of reading about it.

I'd also do my journaling on the computer, I think. If you are pressed for time, it's much quicker to type and print it out than to write by hand. That way you could also write some of the text in advance and just change the size when it's time to print.

As far as ideas go she should go to the 2peas site. I'm sure there are a bunch of layouts there she could scraplift.

it might be fun to have notes from attendants and other wedding participants to put in along with those photos. Maybe send them a piece of cardstock?

For my in-laws 40th anniversary last year, my SIL got some pictures from their wedding and mounted them in a small (maybe 5x7?) book. Everyone enjoyed looking at it at the party. She also had sheets of paper and markers out and asked everyone to sign a page for them, which she will add to the book.

I sent some pictures of albums that I thought might be possibilities to our friend. I could buy an album and ship it to her if she thinks one would work.

Keep the ideas coming. I'm heading out of town for a few days and she needs our help in the worst way. She can't ask for it herself for fear her mom will find out the secret. If anyone could keep this bumped up, I'd appreciate it.
