My DH and I will be celebrating our 25th anniversary on our upcoming trip to DW in November 2011. I have made our ADR's but questionning a few. Here they are--
Chef Mickey (breakfast)
Chef de France
Coral Reef
Spirit of Aloha**
Cape May**
Wishes Dessert Party
**these are the ones I am not sure of

Others that I have considered are--
The Wave
Ohana
Jiko
Illuminations Dessert Party

Any suggestions and why? Just a note, I have looked at Cali Grill but we are not a sushi couple.

Thanks in advance.

Not sure if you can swing it but Victoria and Albert's is out of this world. A special place for a special event.

Other than that I'm not sure. We thought Yachtsman was over-rated.

Cali Grill is much more than sushi. They have great steaks, flatbreads, wines, and desserts. The view is amazing and we sat in the wine room which is pretty quite looking out on the WL and Epcot. A girl I work with went to the Spirit of Aloha show a few weeks ago and she said the food wasn't the greatest, but she liked the cocktails that were included :lmao: Another restaurant we love and is romatic is the Yachtsman Steakhouse, their filet is a little piece of heaven on a plate! Enjoy :goodvibes

I think for a 25th anniversary I would want more of a sit down than a buffet. Something romantic where we could talk and laugh. I LOVE the atmosphere at Coral Reef (and the food is great as well).

Our upcoming trip we'll be celebrating our 1st anniversary! So excited! Happy Anniversary, and I'm sure whichever restaurant you choose will be fantastic!

We were actually in WDW last year for our 25th. We 'celebrated' all week but our dinner on the actual night was at Ohana and we thought it was a lovely experience. The decorated cupcakes they brought out for us were gilding the lily since they had already brought the scrumptious bread pudding dessert, but the server just laughed at us when we looked at the cupcakes and groaned. He immediately produced some plastic clamshell containers so that we could take the cupcakes back to our resort for another day.

We also did the Wishes Dessert Party one night and DH really, really liked it. I would not also do the Illuminations party; one is probably enough.

I would keep Cape May in favor of several of your other choices. Coral Reef is a pretty environment to WATCH the fish, so long as you don't get stuck in a table up in the back (and we did) but Cape May is a great place to EAT fish. Chefs, I think, is a little over-rated.

I do not think Spirit of Aloha is that big a deal, especially in terms of an adult anniversary dinner, and the food is just average. You'd be much better off at any of your alternate selections.

We've been very fortunate by the grace of God to be able to celebrate our 25th, 30th and 35th ann. at WDW. We found that Artist Point and Coral Reef were fantastic for our ann. celebration. Both places went out of their way to make the meal extra nice. Make sure you tell them it's your anniversary when you make your ADR and to get your pin at the Guest Relations at a park. Good luck!

If you are up for a great meal, great service (not on dining plan) then I strongly recommend Il Mulino at the Swan. We did this last xmas night (we stayed one night before checking into AKLV). I made reservations on their online concierge and told them it was our 29the anniversay. We were greated with congrats, given champagne toast, and had a tremendous meal!!! You can get restaurant.com $25 coupons also. We are planning on returning there for xmas eve this year....We are wdw veterans and have been there for every xmas week for the past 6 years(and many other times since purchasing dvc) and think this restaurant outdoes, CG, Yachtsman, Le Cellier...our other favs.

We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary last October at WDW...we ate dinner on our anniversary dinner at Narcoosee's...we received personalized menus , our table was decorated with confetti, we were wished Happy Anniversary by the entire staff, our desserts were plated with Happy Anniversary in white chocolate scripting and complimentary champagne (Magicale)...I highly recommend!!!

Congrats on 25 years! We just celebrated our 25th in June at Disney. We went to the Flying Fish at the Boardwalk. It was just my husband and I. We had a great meal, a special anniversary menu and complimentary champagne.

We also had a celebration that included my children the next night at Cape May. I enjoyed the food and the company but I didn't get that special anniversary feeling.

Cali Grill is much more than sushi. I don't care for sushi, but I love Cali Grill.

For a special anniversary dinner, my favorite special celebration restaurant is Citricos. It's fairly relaxed, has a more romantic atmosphere than most Disney restaurants, the food is amazing, and the service is impeccable.

Jiko is also wonderful, but I don't think it's as romantic as Citricos.

'Ohana is yummy and a fun experience.

Personally, I would not set foot in Chefs de France again. I thought it was like a boxed, frozen dinner with really poor service. If you want good food, a more romantic atmosphere, and decent service, go upstairs and try Bistro de Paris.

Happy Anniversary!

Another vote here for Citricos, even though it wasn't on your list. I think this would be a much nicer use of 2 TS credits if you're on the DDP, than the Spirit of Aloha.

Or Jiko-my second favourite signature.

Can't really comment about Cape May except to say that the reviews I've read have generally been positive. We're trying it and Coral Reef for the first time on our next visit.

YES YES YES!!! We did this for our 20th anniversary (5 years ago - we're also celebrating 25 this year!)

It was completely and utterly amazing. I still dream of this dinner and we are attempting to do it again with the whole family (kids who are 20 and 23, parents and my brother) at Christmas this year. I have reservations for 12/26 and now just have to save up the money!

What ever you decide, best wishes to you and CONGRATULATIONS!!!
