Hey. This has come round so fast since I first posted on dis boards. In 25 days we will find out whether we have our date/time/venue. We have our fingers crossed on 12pm, 11th June 2014 at the Wedding Pavilion.

Just a couple of questions. How likely is it that we will get our time and date?

In other people's experience are these last few days the most nerve racking?

And finally, do you find out exactly 8 months before (11th October) that you have your time and date, or is it a little while after?

I can't say how likely you are to get your requested time and venue. What you have going for you: it's a Wednesday, and weekday times are far easier to get than weekend times. You also want noon instead of 6 pm, so that's also in your favor. Noon will be more difficult than 10 , but I don't know how big a difference that is.

What you have going against you is the wedding pavilion. It is by far the most popular spot, followed by sea breeze point, then yacht club gazebo, then all of epcot combined. However, there are lots of times during the day, so if you can't secure noon, if you're flexible, there's a good chance there will be another time available that day. The other thing going against you is June; it's one of the more popular months, but again, you did yourself a favor asking for a weekday rather than a weekend.

As for notification, I'm guessing it will be end of the day right at eight months. Wishes weddings are notified at the end of the day at exactly twelve months unless the twelve month day falls on a weekend or holiday, in which case notification occurs at the end of the next business day. I don't know if escapes would be different.

I know a couple who booked their wishes wedding about four months out. They got married in July on friday morning at sea breeze point. I think they wanted June initially, but it didn't work out that way. I don't know if they changed their minds and decided on July or if June was simply unavailable. Sorry it doesn't give you a very good idea because it's not the wedding pavilion.

I forgot to say that I think everyone goes through some anxiety until dftw sends that confirmation. It's that feeling of being in limbo and you can't really do anything like save the dates or invitations until you receive date amd venue confirmation.

We are almost there booking our Wishes wedding for October 21st! I'm so nervous, I have back ups that I love but I need to have my ceremony in the wedding pavilion hehe, pixie dust for you!!

Thanks for the tips. Anyone have any tips/ideas/recommendations for a private room reception for 14 people? Which is the best place and where would you avoid?

I found out that we officially had out date the day after our 8 month mark. I got an email at about noon. When we spoke with out sales consultant at 9 months out, she had told us we were the only ones interested in the date we requested. I think if you were in a lottery, they probably would have told you.
As far as private meals, a lot of people like Ragland Road or Fulton's in DTD. We are just planning on going to the Spirit of Aloha Dinner show (if it's still running) or making a reservation at one of our favorite restaurants
