Wow...just read on FB that at 11pm last night the line for Radiator Springs Racers was at 240 minutes. Disney said everyone in line would get to ride.

That is amazing that Radiator Springs Racers had that long of a line. Where would that queue end up on Buena Vista Street? I know the queue has two and a half hours of holding people, but that is a lot of people.

This does not surprise me in the least. Take into perspective how much media coverage this event has had and the fact that this is an entirely new area of the park. Similarly, the attraction is the next E-Ticket. It's exactly what I expected. Remember when Everest and Test Track opened? There were similar waits then. It'll die down in time.

Yeeeeeeahhhh, I think that would make me skip that one.

I'm not really surprised at the 240 minute wait, but to have that at 11pm, park closing and knowing they were going to let everyone in line ride...you are looking at the end of the line riding at 3am.

I went to the passholder preview for DCA and remember a 240 min. wait for Soarin'. Needless to say, I saved that attraction for a later visit. There are always huge crowds when there is a new attraction. Sort of like WWOHP when it opened in 2010. The new Fantasyland will probably be the same.

Remember how we said on the DL show to see Cars Land from the Pacific Wharf entrance.

Yeah. They've temporarily closed that entrance to use that entire portion of Cross Street as overflow queue. Corey and I tried exiting the area that way yesterday and found that this will be the case for possibly most of the summer
or as demand requires.

It will be interesting to see how RSR affects wait times at TSM and Soarin' over the summer.

It hadn't yesterday. Still minimum of 45 min line at TSMM and they had the overflow queue set up at Soarin.

Thanks Nancy.

That doesn't surprise me. There were a lot of folks at DCA just because of RSR. It will impress me if those wait times stay at those levels for the summer.

I'm betting they'll hover at that give or take 15-30 minutes. All those extra folks will be in the 4 hour queue for RSR

This is the exact reason why we are waiting a good year and a half to visit DCA again. I am not a person that has to be the first to experience an attraction or cruise on a new ship. I like to sit back and wait until all the kinks and logistics are worked out. However, I totally understand why the media is there. For now, I can live vicariously through y'all. There is NOTHING I am waiting FIVE HOURS for . . . absolutely nothing!!! Will RSR have a Fastpass??? :worship: Please tell me YES!!!!!

(Updated: Found the answer = Yes! Thank goodness! Also, I assume it will be open when they start Extra Magic Hour at DCA. :woohoo: Being a non-CA resident, I am sooooo happy they announced EMH every day at Disneyland!)

For those on the west coast (Mary Jo, Nancy or Tom) . . . Is there ever a time considered off-season at Disneyland resort????? We want to bring the kids out next November or December. Any weeks considered "slow"???? Working it in with the kids' school vacation doesn't matter at this point. We've pretty much already come to the conclusion, we're taking them out a week to not get stuck with all the local kids and lines. :goodvibes

Are you seeing usage of the single riders line? When Test Track was bad we used that line to get on the ride quicker.

Is Disneyland using this option on Radiator racers and how bad is it?

I was thinking how you said that as I was reading about the 6 hour line yesterday. I think we'll be lucky to even "see" Cars Land at all. I can handle crowded but I hope it settles down before we go in about a month. An airplane flight to WDW from here would take less time than that line! I've trying to find reports on the line is today.

According to Touring Plans.com, it's 365 minutes with an expected time of 300 minutes. Single Rider is only a 100 minute wait. Also, Soarin is only at 20 minutes. Luigi Tires is at 220 minutes with an expected 180 minute wait. Was it this bad for Soarin' or EE?

Wow! I never thought of it like that. That IS crazy!!! :headache:

Hey guys! There are some slow seasons to DL. Definitely early December and the week right before everyone goes on Christmas vacation. I've been into a dead DL park when I went on 12/21-23 before. Not sure how much the new DCA will effect this, but people are people and many can only travel or come out locally and play on 3 day weekends or when they take traditional holiday vacation.

How is the week before Thanksgiving Nancy?

The week before Thanksgiving has increasingly become busier as more families take off the entire week to visit the resort. This year, better times to go while attractions are going with manageable crowds would be Nov 5-16 (during the week), and Dec 3-14 (during the week).

The weekends will be extremely busy, but not unbearable.

September/October = insane crowds the closer you get to Halloween.

Note that in October/November we have days with the Santa Ana winds and so there can be some days that will be in the 80's+.
