24

It's become a bit of a cartoon in the last couple of seasons, but we still watch it. Up against other shows in the genre, like Sleeper Cell, for example, it pales by comparison, but still better than a lot of the other shows on television.

Me, me, me!!!  We are having friends over for the season premier January 14th! :)

I love 24. IMO, its the best show on TV.

I started watching it towards the end of season 2, so we just got Season 1 & 2 from Netflix and watched them already. I can't wait for the new one to start.

We are!!! :yay: :yay: My DH and I borrowed a friends season 1 and were hooked and finished all 5 seasons in about 3 months. We have no idea how we are going to watch it once a week when it comes back on. :guilty:

I am. I love Keifer and this show keeps me on pins and needles. It's downright fun to watch!

Then I'll have to try sleeper cells! When is it on?

There are two seasons of Sleeper Cell, eight episodes each. They were both presented over the course of a single week, Sunday to Sunday, on Showtime. The first season is now available on DVD, and I'm sure the second season will be available on DVD soon. I highly recommend it.

If you're looking for another broadcast network program that is in the same general vein as '24', look at The Unit. It is episodic, instead of a full-season arc, but for many folks that's a good thing. You can miss episodes or see them out of order without much problem. The Unit is also much more realistic than '24' -- not cartoonish at all.

Some of the FBI-related shows are close to '24' and The Unit -- NUMB3Rs and Criminal Minds, specifically. Both are episodic as well, though, and none of these (The Unit, NUMB3Rs, or Criminal Minds) have the kind of "hold your breath" thing going like '24' and Sleeper Cell. The only other show that I've felt that with recently is Day Break (which, unfortunately, was cancelled).

I wouldn't say addicted but I do enjoy watching it!

Best Buy has the seasons of 24 on sale online right now for $19.99 each. I'm not sure if it's that price in the stores or not.

I have to 2nd the Unit, we love that show also! Plus the actor the played President David Palmer on "24" is on that show. :)

I'm eager for it to start again!!!! Right now, TV is sooooo boring. Nothing to watch and all repeats.....ugh!

Me, me, me! Have been a fan since day 1, Season 1. Been a huge Kiefer fan (see my avatar) since The Lost Boys. Two weeks from Sunday...can't wait.

Oh, good grief. I hadn't heard this yet. I haven't watched for a couple of weeks (but Tivo'd it), but was hoping to catch up on it this weekend. There have been only 3 new shows I started watching this season, and this is the third one that's been cancelled. Guess I'm 0 for 3.
