She took the Russian dude's hand off with that pipefitter's saw, but only after charming him into him putting his arm into the tabletop vise. InsideTV/AOL says that it was the hand, but (shudder) I wasn't keeping that close an eye on the whole scene.
If she had only cut the thumb off would they have been able to take the bracelet off? Told Jack to "cauterize the wound" (though I'm not sure why SHE couldn't do it).
Even JACK was skeeved out.

Kiefer Sutherland will return for the 8th season, which he revealed will begin very shortly after the events of season 7. However, more recent information has described the timeline as further into the future, making Jack's granddaughter, Teri, old enough for meaningful dialogue.

Set 8 months after season 7, season 8 begins and ends at 4:00 PM, unfolding in New York City amidst the shadows of the Statue of Liberty and the United Nations where CTU has been upgraded.

DH and I thought that Freddie Prinze Jr. was doing some serious channelling of Keanu Reeves.. he even had Keanu's haircut from the Speed movie. He even had the voice cadence of Kenau's Johnny in PointBreak.

We have just taken to call him not Ortiz or Freddy but Keanu.
