24 one time use points

I have 110 points available in my 2019 use year. I want to book a trip that will be 56 points so while I don’t need the 24 use points, I would rather pay and use them while I am booking a 7 month booking so I have the points for a future booking that year at my home resort at 11 months. So.... I want to have the 24 points in my account right at the morning on the 7 month mark. Could I book a different reservation in the same use year and then cancel it to have the 24 already loaded in my account for the day I really need to book at 7 months?

My understanding is you have to call every time you use one time use points. So even when modifying a reservation or to use them after you canceled I believe you still need to talk to MS.

In short: No.

OTU points can only be used by phone.

You can book the resort you want at 7 months, then buy the OTUP to reallocate the points in the same reservation. This will free up 24 points of your points.

Thanks! So I can book with my own points online at 7 months and then call to say that instead of using 56 points for the reservation I booked, I want to buy 24 one time use points so that it really is only costing me 32 of my points? Just want to make sure
