24 Hour Gyms? - UPDATE!

My SIL and I have decided to join one of those 24 hour gyms to get back into shape after having babies! I work nights, so it is easiest for me to stop on my way home to do a workout...I don't like working out with a bunch of people, I don't want to feel like people are watching me. We have a Snap Fitness and an Anytime Fitness near us. Does anyone have any experience w/ either one of these places? What do they cost? Any pros or cons that are noteworthy? Do either one have kids clubs available if I would need it? I would really like to be able to do a Disney run in late 09 or early 2010. I hope that I am able to stick to this, and I think I will be able to especially since I have a workout buddy!
 
I have no experience with 24hr gyms, yet. I think that the idea is great and would definitely have used one when I was working shifts. I hope you find the one that works best for you.

Let us know which you've decided to use and how it works out for you.
 
I bet at the time you go there won't be too many ppl. I think fitness anyway you can get it is great. Good luck-I bet you become one hot mamma!!
 
UPDATE! I joined Snap Fitness today! I met w/ the owner and his wife, he's a bit hyper, but VERY nice. And his wife is wonderful too. I meet w/ the fitness "guru" and planner on Monday morning at 6 am after I get off work. He will give me my fitness consult, equipment introduction, and we will plan my workout routine together. I have the weirdest schedule and very little time that is convenient for me to work out, but they are SO willing to work with me and confident that a plan is out there for me. We will be able to adjust my workout as needed, look at healthy eating and all of this is able to be maintained/changed on my own "Snap Fitness" personal website. I really debated trying out the Y, but they have weird hours (esp for childcare) and I will just come up w/ excuses not to go. I am so ready to do this for myself, FINALLY and I am excited. I'm sure that I will have down days, but I am sure that I can come here to the boards and be inspired! I am ready to rock!

By the way, I don't think my SIL will be joining with me, but I know I can do this on my own!

Here I go! I am headed to my first morning at the gym. Not really a workout, but a fitness consultation w/ the personal trainer. Weight (eek!), body fat (double eek!), and planning my workout. Also looking at nutrition stuff (not worried, I am a healthy eater). I am looking forward to it! WISH me luck!
