24 Hour Disney Event

Ok, I'm going to the Magic Kingdom on May 22, and I need to know what to expect. Is MK going to be packed during this 24 event just like it's packed at New Year's? Are there any specific times when its more crowded? When does the crowd start funneling out?

Also, just for clarification, as soon as I use all three of my fastpasses in one park, I can get an additional fastpass in the same park or a different park, right? Are there any advantages of having a park hopper ticket when using FastPass+?

But to answer your questions....

Yes, once you use all 3 you can get 1 additional at a time in either park. I'm not sure if there are any advantages with having a park hopper ticket for FP+. Say you book all 3 of your FP+ for the morning at MK, then you hop over to Epcot after using your 3. Most likely TT and Soarin will be gone, but you might be able to pick one up for Seas with Nemo or something smaller.

I think the only park that really works somewhat well for park hopping and the FP+ is if you do another park, then hop to MK. Since MK has more rides, there will be a bigger variety of FP+ left.

The 24 hour event last year was pretty uncrowded until around noon, crowds picked up a bit then, but the real deluge of people starts around dinner time. People come in for Wishes and the parade and Main Street is basically a mob scene. Its best not to come in at that time and to stay away from Main Street until around 1 or 2 am. If you can avoid the surge of people on Main Street at night, I found the party last year to be super enjoyable and really not that crowded.
