I have been tracking prices to fly from DIA to Orlando or Tampa all summer, and I have finally found 222.50 (includes taxes and fees) from DIA to Orlando. My DH wants me to hold off and see if we can get a better price. Does anyone have any advice? Should I book these fares, or wait a while longer? Will these last, or do you think they will go down? The last two times we have flown from DIA, it has cost almost $400 per person.

Any advice would be really helpful.

Delta had a sale into Tampa for $168 round trip. You had to use code LOR14 on the reservation. You had to travel on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Saturday only. Valid for travel through March, 2002. I don't know if the code is still valid. If you are 62+, the rate dropped to $151.

Good Luck.

I often see good fares on Continental from Denver (usually under $200 RT). They come and go often so you have to be willing to check daily or even multiple times a day in order to find the best fares.

TC, that is an awesome price! We have gone to Orlando every year for the past 5 years (in October) and never had a price that low. Now, we are picky about the days we leave so that may have some impact. (We go during the kid's fall break). The best price I got this year for our 10/26 trip is $289 on Frontier,non-stop, which will be nice. But if I could have saved $268 I would have taken the $222 fare and dealt with changing planes. I say, given the usual high fares from Denver, take it!

We leave on Wednesday and our tickets are $151 including tax on Delta through Atlanta. The best rate I came across for non-stop was $277 including tax on Frontier.

I found $136 this morning on expedia and when I went back to book it, it was gone and $227 was the best they could do. My friend has a membership to bestfares.com so she tried too. We had to change our dates, and she got $149.50 including all taxes. I was happy, because we're booking for 9 people and there's no way to do it on expedias website (up to 6 only). Anyway, so I see now the rates are $136 for my dates, but oh well! At least I'm going!!!!!!
