Hi all -

We're taking our DS to WDW next November when he will be 22 mo old. I'm only a tad bit nervous - mostly excited. I've read a ton of threads on here about great ideas for younger kids - but I'm curious what it is like with an almost 2 year old. Here are a couple of questions (I have no idea where he'll be developmentally) about things I'm curious about:

1. Do WDW properties have pack 'n plays (PNP)?
2. Do WDW villas have high chairs in room? Can you request one?
3. Could a 22 mo old be in a "big boy" bed? If so - do they have bed rails at WDW?
4. Can he actually go on rides? I know some rides have no age limit/height restriction - but will he actually be able to go on???
5. What age to the "baby care" centers go up to? I can pretty much guarantee he won't be out of diapers - so I know we'll be changing a few.
6. What are the hours of the day care centers in the hotels (we're most likely staying at Beach Club as of now)?
7. Do kids under 3 really eat free?
8. Does a 22mo old need a park ticket too?

Ok...I think that's all the ones I have for now! Any stories, opinions on bringing an almost 2 yr old would be great too!

TIA for all your help!

We've gone when our son was 6 months, 10 months, almost 18 months and 25 months...here's what I know...

(1) Yes -- the villas have them already in them and if there's not one in your room, you just call down to get one sent up. They also include a fitted sheet, but we brought our own to make it "smell" like home.
(2) Villas are supposed to have high chairs. Again, if it's not there, you can call down to request one is sent up. They're the wooden restaurant type.
(3) Potentially, you could have him in a big boy bed. Rails are availabe on request. If he's happy in a PnP though, I say go with it!
(4) He can go on anything without a height restriction -- as a 6 month old, our son went on EVERYTHING, sometimes on our laps, sometimes in a sling.
(5) No age restriction on the Baby Care Centers -- and I would certainly say if there's one handy when it's changing time, certainly take advantage of it! They're great!
(6) Age limit for the kids' clubs is 4 - 12, so you're not going to worry about the hours. :-)
(7) Well....technically they can eat off your plate. We tend to do a lot of buffets/family style meals with our DS. We sometimes also purchase a kids meal for him.
(8) No ticket required! Enjoy the extra savings while you can! LOL!

I don't have any specific answers to your questions, but I can tell you that my DD is 21 months old and we'll be at Disney this week. I have no worries about bringing her, except that I have yet to decide if we will hope she naps in the stroller or go back to our resort (off-site) in the afternoon for a couple of hours.

At that age new things are SO exciting for them! DD already LOVES Mickey and the princesses, and I know she's going to enjoy going on all the rides (everything without a height restriction) and seeing all the sights.

You guys will have a great time!!!
