21st August 2011, Disney Dream

Welcome aboard to both of you.:goodvibes
I have updated our list, added both of you to FE see here

Hi Peter.
Did you get what you wanted? might be a struggle so close.
Just after we booked I sent an email off to DCL asking to link our cabin with Mart (burt) and Nigel (DISwolves) As we are Gold Castaway members I could then go on and book us all for Palo Brunch when our window opened.
I wasn't too hopeful it would work but it did, no problems.

There was only the first night, for dinner at Palo ! And i did not book it!
Will get something onboard! We are Platinum Level! If they do not they will credit my account!

You might get lucky with gifts similar to last year's! We need to stick to small items, but we are giving them out daily, so I guess we add up too!

Your gift from last year travels with us too!
Now I'm getting nervous!! This will be my first Disney cruise and I don't want to be known as "that room that had the lame FE gifts". I'm also eager to see these exciting gifts and having fun coming up with ideas.
We are from Hackettstown NJ, home of the M&M Mars factory. Hope everybody likes chocolate.
Many years ago, there was a host on NJ 101.5 who causes me until this day to think "Buddy Hackettstown" every time I hear your city mentioned:goodvibes

There is no such thing as a lame FE gift. :worship: We got coasters from local sports teams, pencils, postcards and information about the countries others were from, pirate themed gifts, candy from other countries, magnets, bookmarks, and so many other really cool things. I loved it all. Homemade, store bought its all good!!!

Totally agree, we don't do FE to get fancy gifts, its just fun to come back to the cabin and see a gift there, whatever the gift is it doesn't matter.:goodvibes

For the 1st 2 weeks we will have relatives with us for their 1st visit, including our 3 year old God Daughter, seeing Disney thru the eyes of a 3 year old again will be amazing for us all, just not sure about all this Girly/Princess/Fairy stuff though, its all new to me:rotfl2:

Just saw our DIS joining dates, 8 years we have been posting, certainly time we met.:thumbsup2

Hi everyone,

wayneg - can you update Cabin 7082 with the guests first names? They are traveling with us and I finally got their permission to share their names :)

Nancy, Andrew, Russell (8), Alexander (5)

We are getting excited, and into planning mode, now that school is finished. I don't want to wish our daughter's summer vacation away, but I am working all summer...I want that vacay!

Sonnyeclipse and NLM - as it turns out, I have two girls that fit that description. My younger daughter will be turning 12 the week of the cruise, and my older one is 13 1/2. It's great that there are kids in the group right around the same age, especially since these kids may be feeling a little annoyed that they don't get to go to the older kid club (which has hot tubs in it) - this way they can meet up the first day, and hang around together if they hit it off.

Do you want to have them exchange emails and chat before we go?

glassslipper2004 and sonnyeclipse - my dd would love to hang with other teens/tweens on the cruise, but she never emails anymore! It's all texting and facebook for her these days. Maybe we can plan a separate meet up for them and all other teens/tweens who are interested?

Haven't posted on here in a while... tons of posts to catch up on I see!

I just added my son to this cruise today. So there are three of us sailing now.

Thanks,

I didn't know they would reimburse you if you didn't actually have dinner at Palo! Quite interesting... guess it's something you have to inquire about? I would love to hear more about that.

I am going to continue crafting tonight. I hope to have it all done in the next two weeks so that I can just "sail" through the month before we go.

Can someone verify my math? We have 20 cabins total correct? Thanks!

See you all very soon!!!!

Not sure if that is current or not but it happened in January!

Happy 4th of July everyone :beach:.... even if it is not a holiday you celebrate...have a fun day anyway!

I received a two dollar and a few cents refund form DCL for a change in port fees for both cruises ....Oh where to spend it :confused3:rotfl:

Thanks for the good wishes Wayne...Disneyland was great, we had a ball.

Looking forward to meeting you all. I'd like to say my DS would do a teen connection thing pre-cruise but he is not a DISer...he says he likes the randomness of meeting whoever he hangs with at the teen club ...Mr. Cool:cool1:

Working on Cruise Door Decor at this point... :woohoo:

Also working on losing a few pounds so I can gain them back on the cruise :yay::banana::Pinkbounc... off to Zumba ......

I am showing 18 rows and 20 cabins as well with FE in them. Are those the only ones doing the fish extenders??:confused3

Hello everyone, we are a family of 5 from Hershey, PA. We are booking this week and this will be our second Disney cruise (did the Western Caribbean in August 2009). There will be myself, DW, DD (13 on departure) and twin DS (9 on departure). We are planning on spending 3 days at WDW and then heading out on the cruise on the 21st.

We absolutely loved our first cruise on the Magic and can't wait to see the Dream.

Colin

Our twin boys are 9 as well this year and it looks like we might be on the same level of the ship according to the FE list. Have your boys ever been on the cruise?
I'm sure my boys will love the activities but it is nice to know there will be others to have fun with as well. I'm sure they'll meet soon.:)
