20th august 17 or 15th oct 17 for 2 weeks?

Looking at weather and crowd levels when would regular visitors recommend? We have been in April with gorgeous weather but high crowd levels, we woul like it warm for beach day, can anyone help me decide when to book?

Think October it will be, means taking the kids out of shool for a week which I have never done before but it's only this once! Thanks for your input, looking forward to food and wine and Halloween celebrations!!

October for sure. It's still hot in October, crowds are a bit lower or at least no worse than late August and you have fewer thunderstorms and heavy showers than you will in August. It's usually a bit cheaper too.

Another vote for October. We always go over the half term. This will be the last year we can do it as eldest DD will be in high school next year. We will then have to go August! Enjoy.

Definitely October for all the above reasons. You are lucky you have a choice. I would have gone in October myself this year but due to the 6 year old that we can't take out of school we are stuck with last 2 weeks in August. Having said that I would still rather be there than here anytime of year.
