20th Anniversary Trip - Need Suggestions!

For our 20th anniversary this year, my husband and I want to take a trip. The problem is that we don't know where we want to go!

We know we want somewhere in the Caribbean in the first week or two of June. Don't really want to do Jamaica - heard it is not to safe outside of your resort. We would love to do adult only and all inclusive. Of course, if we could do this rather inexpensively it would be great. We know we are looking at $ 3-5,000 for a week.

So give me your ideas of what island to visit (Aruba, St. Lucia, Turks and Caicos, Barbados, etc) and any resorts you recommend. Thanks!!!

WHat about a cruise or an all inclusive?

We enjoy both because you can relax and not worry about where to have dinner/driving/extra money, etc. (Although the cruise you will have "extras")

We like Sandos resorts in Playa Del Carman Mexico or Iberostars

We also have sailed Royal Caribbean and like them...although you might miss the kids because they would also have a blast!

This is by far one of the best vacations we ever took. It's pricey though. I am not sure how pricey right now. But all inclussive means everything! They even did our laundry included! And free drinks! It was paradise.

We are planning our 25th anniversary and also trying to figure out where we want to go. We are seriously looking at cruises because they are really good at making you feel pampered. If you're willing to spend up to 5K, you might want to check prices to Hawaii - that is beyond our price range but I'd love to do Hawaii some day. The two websites that were recommended to me by real friends for travel vacations are resortvacationstogo dot com and applevacations dot com. My friends swear they have the best prices.

I love Playa del Carmen and Tulum [Caribbean side of Mexico] BUT I prefer NON-ai because the food is so good and cheap and it's such a great area....

but if I had to do AI, this one is right in Playa so you could still explore a bit and it's adults only and super popular on my other fave board playa.info

we stayed at a sister resort called 'capri' and it was so relaxing...the only AI I have done and I would do again if I didn't want to leave the resort...we literally spent all day in bathing suits at pool and beach and then napped and dressed for dinner...sooooo relaxing and romantic. The beach at Capri isn't good for swimming but great for walking [rocks in water].
