How can you check? It says no rooms available for my dates (the 23-27th).

The night of the 26th is not available. I currently have 23-26. I also have an alert setup on openhotelalert for that one last night that I'd like. Otherwise I have (2!) other Disney reservations that I'll just pick up that last one.

Check the Marriott app and Expedia. They usually reserve some rooms for those platforms until a month or so out.

From what I have read on the SW thread, that is the case. Anything done with tickets, now, will be treated as a post May 28 booking, and subject to those rules, including bag fees.

I’m using credits for Princess and will be researching everything that’s happening with Southwest flights now. I want to use these credits and move on from SW.

I have credits from Springtime Surprise that were supposed to be an actual refund, so now I'm going to have to use them for something, but I'm not sure that a running trip is the way to go, with the baggage fees. Maybe I can just do a weekend trip.

I planned on doing Epcot all day after the half marathon and into the post race party, I wonder just how slammed the park is going to be that day between post-race celebrations, Food and Wine Festival, the concert, and just being a weekend. Guess I'll pack my patient pants and plan on lightning lanes lol.

I'm figuring my legs will be too tired to move me too fast anyway and I'll just waddle slowly thru the crowd until the regular guests begin to filter out and we're left with us runners at the post race party.

Their lead singer died two years ago, so I’m not sure how much of a draw the new singer will be when it comes to crowd size. I saw Boys 2 Men after the half, and I don’t remember it being any different in Epcot than normal craziness.

That’s right he did die. Sad story too. We were in Epcot after the Springtime Surprise when Sugsr Ray was singing. I forgot he was going to be there. We’re just walking by and heard him. We grabbed a few beers and caught the last song, which right away transported me back to senior year of high school 1998. Crowds didn’t seem anything out of the norm.

Some new holiday discounts came out for the W&D timeframe, not quite as good as the fall discount, but if you missed that one, you might be able to find something for this discount.

I called reservations and was able to drop the extra day I had to book for the fall discount (the room was not available to book with one less day) and they were able to remove the extra day and keep my discounted rate (which is no longer available), which was really nice!

I'm glad I'm doing the two course challenge. I think this is the weakest set of medals for a race weekend I've ever done. I do really like the half medal though.

Meh. Totally underwhelmed by these and glad I only signed up for the 5K (that's the only that day that overlapped with our existing trip).

I think the "food" on the plate on the Half medal spins.

I see it now after looking more closely and seeing a little gap there. Yeah, that's definitely a spinner.
